🚨URGENT PUBLIC HEALTH NOTICE: PROTECT GAMBORU FROM CHOLERA! 🚨

Dear Members of the Gamboru Community,
In light of the recent risks regarding a Cholera outbreak, the Gamboru Youth Development Association (GYDA) is calling on every individual, household, and business owner to take immediate action. Cholera is a deadly but highly preventable waterborne disease.

Together, we can protect our lives and our children.

OUR COMMUNITY ACTION PLAN: CLEAN UP GAMBORU!

We are urging the general public to urgently sanitize our immediate environments. A clean community leaves no room for disease.

Key Preventive Steps Every Household Must Take Right Now:

1️⃣ Wash Your Hands Frequently: Always use soap and clean water, especially before eating, preparing food, and after using the toilet.

2️⃣ Drink Safe Water: Ensure your drinking water is safe. Boil it or use treated water for drinking and cooking.

3️⃣ Eat Safe Food: Cook food thoroughly, eat it while it is hot, and strictly avoid raw or uncovered food sold in the open.

4️⃣ Use Clean Toilets: Always use safe, clean toilets and completely avoid open defecation.

5️⃣ Keep Your Environment Clean: Dispose of waste properly. Clean your drainages, clear stagnant water, and keep your surroundings spotless.

Know the Symptoms:

Severe watery diarrhea Vomiting
Severe dehydration & dry mouth
Weakness, fatigue, and muscle cramps
If you or anyone you know experiences these symptoms, please SEEK IMMEDIATE MEDICAL CARE.

Let us stand together in unity to safeguard our health. Community action saves lives.

The General Manager BOSEPA

Gamboru Youth Development Association write to express our sincere appreciation for your prompt and decisive response to our urgent request for fumigation support in Gamboru Community following the recent cholera outbreak.

Your team’s rapid intervention through house-to-house and drainage fumigation in Gamboru Fulatari came at a critical time, when over ten cases and three deaths had been reported. The exercise has significantly reduced the risk of further spread and brought much-needed relief and hope to our residents, especially vulnerable children and the elderly.

We are deeply grateful to you, the entire BOSEPA team for your dedication to public health and environmental safety during this emergency.

However, to fully contain the outbreak, we respectfully request that the fumigation exercise be extended to cover the entire Gamboru Ward. This will help prevent further spread to other locations and ensure all households are protected.

Thank you once again for your swift action and commitment to saving lives. We, the GYDA and community members, remain ready to support your team with volunteers and local coordination.
