Network of Civil Society Organisations Borno State (NECSOB), in technical partnership with TAG International and the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC), is hosting a Town Hall Meeting in Gamboru Ward under the AGRI-SHIELD Project: Countering Violent Extremism (CVE).

Theme: Enhancing Community Security, Civil-Military Coordination, and Safe Access to Farmlands in Borno State.

The meeting aims to strengthen community security, promote peaceful collaboration between civilians and the military, and support safe access to farmlands for farmers across Borno State.

Together, let us promote peace, strengthen community resilience, and create a safer environment for sustainable livelihoods.

Gamboru Youth Development Association (GYDA) successfully conducted its monthly sanitation exercise as part of its commitment to promoting a clean, healthy, and safe community.

The exercise was graced by the BOSEPA State Women Leader, the General Manager of BOSEPA and his team, alongside community members, who were all present at the gamboru food field and actively participated in the sanitation exercise.

Their presence and support demonstrate the importance of collective action in keeping our community clean and protecting public health.

Gamboru Youth Development Association successfully held its Executives Meeting, bringing together members of the executive to deliberate on matters affecting the growth and progress of the association as well as the development of the Gamboru community.

During the meeting, members reviewed ongoing activities, assessed the implementation of previous resolutions, and discussed strategies for improving the association's impact through youth empowerment, community engagement, environmental sanitation, peacebuilding, and other development initiatives.

The executives also outlined plans for upcoming programs aimed at addressing community needs and creating more opportunities for young people to contribute meaningfully to society.

The meeting reaffirmed GYDA's commitment to transparency, accountability, teamwork, and effective leadership in carrying out its mandate. Members emphasized the importance of unity, active participation, and collective responsibility in achieving the association's vision of building a stronger, more peaceful, and prosperous Gamboru community.

Gamboru Youth Development Association (GYDA) actively participated in a community engagement and sanitation exercise organized in partnership with UNICEF Nigeria and Borno State Environmental Protection Agency (BOSEPA) at Kawuskemari Community.

The activity focused on promoting environmental cleanliness, hygiene awareness, and community participation towards creating a healthier and safer environment. Members of GYDA joined hands with community residents and partners to support sanitation efforts and encourage sustainable hygiene practices.
