YPHO also facilitates Mother-to-Mother Support Group (MtM) sessions to strengthen caregiver knowledge and support.

Caregivers receive practical guidance on Maternal, Infant and Young Child Feeding (MIYCF) and age-appropriate feeding practices.

These interventions promote early detection, timely referral, and improved infant and young child nutrition.

Community awareness activities further encourage healthy nutrition practices and resilience against malnutrition.

As the 2026 lean season deepens in Borno State, the risk of malnutrition among children and pregnant and breastfeeding women continues to increase.

In response, Young Prodigy Humanitarian Organization (YPHO) is implementing self-funded nutrition interventions in underserved communities.

The organization carries out regular community-based MUAC screening to detect malnutrition at an early stage.

Cholera is preventable, but it spreads quickly when we ignore basic hygiene. Together, we can protect our families and communities by taking simple actions:

💧 Drink safe, clean water.
🧼 Wash your hands regularly with soap and clean water.
🍲 Eat well-cooked food and keep it covered.
🚽 Use clean toilets and dispose of waste properly.
🏥 If you or someone has severe diarrhea or vomiting, seek medical attention immediately.

Let’s work together to stop the spread of cholera. Prevention starts with each of us.

The 2026 World Refugee Day celebration held in Yobe State, organized by UNHCR and SEMA.
YPHO actively participated as CSO partner, the event brought together UN agencies, SEMA, AoR Leads, Govt, CSOs, and IDP representatives.

The event confirmed that protection + CVA must be community-led and inclusive. As Field Officer, YPHO’s role is to ensure voices from communities like Dikumari are heard, so “Everyone is safe” becomes real, not just a theme.
