Yesterday, Tuesday 26th August 2025, Borno Youth Connect successfully conducted the screening exercise for the Skills Acquisition Program at Yerwa Practice Primary School, Gidan Madara, Maiduguri.

Over 300 young people turned out for the exercise, demonstrating the eagerness of Borno youth to embrace opportunities for growth and self-reliance. The screening marks a major step towards the commencement of the program, which is scheduled to begin next week.

Participants expressed their gratitude to Borno Youth Connect for creating this platform that will equip them with practical skills to improve their livelihoods. Many also commended the initiative and called on government institutions, development partners, and other stakeholders to support Borno Youth Connect in ensuring that more young people can benefit from such opportunities.

The Skills Acquisition Program aims to empower participants with valuable skills that can enhance employability, foster entrepreneurship, and strengthen resilience among young people in the state.

Borno Youth Connect remains committed to building a generation of skilled and self-reliant youth who will contribute positively to the growth and development of Borno State.

YESTERDAY, BORNO YOUTH CONNECT (BYC) EMBARKS ON HOSPITAL OUTREACH

Borno Youth Connect (BYC) conducted a one-day outreach program, visiting four hospitals across Borno State. The President of BYC, Comr. Ma'aji Zannah, accompanied by his associates, distributed a total of 799,000 to 160 patients.

The outreach began at Umaru Shehu Hospital, where 40 patients received tokens. The team then visited Ngomari Primary Health Care, providing tokens to 30 patients. Similar donations were made at Fatima Ali Sherrif Hospital 40 patients and Nursing Home 40 patients. The final stop was the General Hospital, where 40 patients in the women amenity ward received tokens.

This initiative was part of BYC efforts to support those in need. The beneficiaries expressed heartfelt gratitude to the President and his team for their exceptional kindness and generosity.

The program was made possible in collaboration with Zannah Lawan Ajimi, District Head of Ngomari C, a renowned humanitarian who sponsored the project. BYC successfully executed the outreach.

May Almighty Allah reward Zannah Lawan Ajimi abundantly for his philanthropic efforts.
