A Prayer for Mothers and Widows

Heavenly Father,
We thank You for the gift of motherhood — for every woman who nurtures, sacrifices, and loves unconditionally. Bless each mother with strength, wisdom, and joy. May her days be filled with peace, and her nights with rest. Let her heart be comforted in times of weariness, and may she always know she is deeply valued.

Lord, we lift up every widow in our midst. You are the defender of the vulnerable and the comforter of the brokenhearted. Wrap Your arms around these women who have walked through loss. Restore their hope, renew their strength, and provide for every need. Let them feel Your presence in every moment, and surround them with love and community.

May FAIWO continue to be a beacon of compassion and support. Let our hands be Your hands, our hearts be Your heart, and our mission reflect Your grace.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

FAIWO Ramadan Outreach Report

In the spirit of Ramadan, our founder, Pastor Mrs. Folashade Ayoade, carried out a heartfelt outreach to Muslim widows in our community. Food items, wrappers and cash gifts were distributed to support them during their fasting period, ensuring that they felt cared for and remembered at this sacred time.

This initiative reflects FAIWO’s mission of compassion and empowerment, especially for vulnerable groups. Pastor Mrs. Folashade Ayoade encouraged the widows to remain steadfast in faith, reminding them that Ramadan is not only a season of sacrifice but also of divine blessings, renewal, and hope.

The widows expressed deep gratitude for the gesture, which brought joy and relief to their households. Through this outreach, FAIWO continues to strengthen bonds of unity and demonstrate that love and kindness transcend boundaries.

Empowering Young Widows in Kogi State

Dr. Folashade Arike Ayoade, SGS Kogi State, through her foundation FAIWO, opened her doors and her heart to 22 widows under 40—listening to their stories, sharing empathy, and pledging individualized support.

From scholarships for children to vocational training and seed capital for small businesses, each widow will receive tailored help to rebuild and thrive. The women left with renewed hope, grateful for this rare audience and personalized care.

“We came heavy‑hearted, but we are leaving with hope,” one widow shared.

This initiative is more than charity—it’s a pathway to dignity, resilience, and self‑reliance.

Education is the cornerstone of opportunity, and at the Folashade Ayoade Initiative for Widows & Orphans, we believe every child deserves a chance to build a brighter future.
Through our free JAMB registration program for orphaned students, we’re not just covering exam fees—we’re investing in dreams, unlocking potential, and reaffirming that no child should be left behind because of circumstance.
Education empowers, uplifts, and transforms—and we’re proud to stand beside these young scholars as they take their first steps toward a life of possibility.

FAIWO Founder Begins Construction of Church at Koton Karfe Correctional Centre

The founder of the Folashade Arike Ayoade Welfare Organization (FAIWO), Dr. (Mrs.) Folashade Arike Ayoade, who also doubles as the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, has flagged off the construction of a church building at the Koton Karfe Correctional Centre.

Dr. Ayoade explained that the project is part of FAIWO’s mission to support rehabilitation through spiritual growth. She emphasized that faith plays a vital role in helping inmates rediscover purpose, heal emotionally, and prepare for reintegration into society.

The initiative, carried out in collaboration with the Nigerian Correctional Service, will provide a dedicated space for worship, counseling, and moral reorientation. According to Dr. Ayoade, the church will serve as a sanctuary of hope and guidance for inmates during their time in custody.

Officials of the Correctional Service expressed appreciation to FAIWO for prioritizing the spiritual and emotional well-being of inmates. They noted that such interventions contribute significantly to reducing recidivism and fostering positive behavioral change.

Community leaders and religious stakeholders also welcomed the development, describing it as a bold and compassionate move. They highlighted that the project underscores the founder’s commitment to holistic rehabilitation — one that values both physical and spiritual renewal.

With construction now underway, the Koton Karfe Correctional Centre is set to become a model for how faith-based initiatives can complement correctional reforms, ultimately paving the way for a more humane and supportive justice system.

FAIWO has made a bold statement about the power of education by paying ₦1,145,750 in school fees for 34 students across primary, secondary, and university levels. This isn’t just money—it’s hope, opportunity, and a future unlocked. For the children in primary school, it means stepping into classrooms with confidence, holding books that will shape their minds, and laying the foundation for lifelong learning. For those in secondary school, it means continuity, no fear of dropping out, and the chance to dream bigger. For the university students, it means the freedom to graduate, pursue careers, and become leaders who will give back to society.

This act of generosity relieves families of heavy financial burdens, empowers students to focus on their studies, and creates ripple effects that will uplift entire communities. Every naira spent is an investment in human potential, a seed planted for tomorrow’s leaders. By standing behind these 34 students, FAIWO is not just paying fees—it is building futures, nurturing dreams, and proving that true giving is about empowerment.

The founder’s vision shines through this initiative, showing compassion, commitment, and a belief that education is the most sustainable gift. It is a reminder that when we give, we don’t just support—we transform lives, strengthen society, and inspire hope for generations to come.
