So today is International Condom Day.
The day was strategically chosen to coincide with the Eve of Valentine's Day, a day where people of all ages and races celebrate love.
As part of the activities to mark the day, there was a road work where ministries, agencies and implementing partners working in the HIV/AIDS programming sector, including INGRA, partook.
The events of the day including the sensitization of road users and commuters, the free distribution of condoms, and a symposium at the Federal University of Lokoja.
During the symposium, the Executive Director of INGRA, anchored the sessions where he raised awareness about STIs/STDs, the proper use of condoms, mitigating myths and misconceptions, etcetera.
As an ice-breaker, he put up a prize for the student who could provide the most accurate definition of what a condom is.
If you were in the audience, would you have won the prize?
How would you have answered the question...who knows, maybe the prize is still up for grabs.
