*Sub Topic 4 (Week 7): DOMINION POWER OF MAN AND WOMAN IN MARRIAGE*

Introduction:
Dominion power in marriage refers to a joint mandate (Genesis 1:28) for couples to exercise authority over circumstances, such as sickness, financial difficulties, and life challenges, rather than dominating one another. It is achieved through agreement, love, and shared purpose, transforming a home into a partnership that reflects spiritual unity.
This dominion is activated through unity, agreement, and shared purpose, enabling the couple to function as a powerful, undivided team.

*Key aspects of dominion power in marriage based on biblical principles:*

*1. The Principle of Agreement*

• *The key to Oneness* : Family dominion is authorized by God when a couple acts in unity, rather than as two separate entities. Joint Authority (Not Over Each Other. It is about shared authority, not a power struggle between spouses

• *The Power of Two* : A "united two" can break limits that a single person cannot.

• *Agreement as Key* : Disagreement in the home shuts the door to dominion. Agreement Activates Power - Family dominion is activated when spouses agree on matters, unlocking a higher level of authority than they have alone.

• *Purpose of Dominion* : It allows couples to overcome challenges and achieve God-given goals. It is about taking charge of their lives, overcoming insecurity, and fulfilling purpose together.

• *Roles in Marriage:* Within a healthy marriage, roles are flexible and dynamic, allowing the best-equipped partner to lead in specific areas while working in partnership.

• *Pitfalls* : Misusing dominion by trying to control the other partner can lead to brokenness, bitterness, and loss of the spiritual blessing in the home.

‎The desire for our prayers to be answered is universal. Yet, the number one reason our prayers are not answered is our lack of focus on God's glory. Patience, faith, and trust in God are essential in receiving answers to our prayers.

‎Answers to prayer come in various forms:

‎ *Direct Answer*: When our prayers align with God's will.
‎
‎ *Intervention Answers*: When God intervenes through His mercy.
‎
‎ *Silent Answer*: When God uses silence to build our character.

‎Reflect on your prayers: Do you prioritize happiness or God's glorification?

‎Our prayers should prioritize God's glory over personal relief.

Occasionally, I find myself prone to distraction of responsibilities. How about you? It's effortless to become sidetracked by the multitude of activities in our lives.

We often become engrossed in our responsibilities, leading to a life in the fast lane. While being in the fast lane isn't inherently wrong, it's essential to make regular pauses to reconnect with God. Even Jesus prioritized solitude with His Father. Notable figures like Moses and John the Baptist also created space for divine guidance. They often received God's voice in solitude.

This doesn't necessitate a wilderness retreat; rather, find a quiet spot – whether in your vehicle, bedroom, or elsewhere – to listen to your heavenly Father. Hearing from God doesn't require an extensive time commitment, nor can it be rushed.

One doesn't need to dedicate hours daily to prayer and Bible reading. Simplify your approach by setting aside dedicated time for God, guarding it zealously. Choose a conducive location, come prepared with necessary materials, and maintain a fresh, sustainable connection with God.
