Today’s Survivors Summit in Abuja is more than an event. It is a gathering of courage, lived experiences, advocacy, healing, and shared humanity.
Every story shared has the power to encourage someone else still fighting silently.

At CCF, we believe survivor voices should not only be heard during awareness months. They should help shape conversations around cancer care, support, and policy every day.

Attend the summit, engage in the conversations, and help amplify survivor voices.

Cancer treatment affects more than the body.

Many survivors say they wish they had been better prepared emotionally, mentally, financially, and socially before treatment started.

Conversations around survivorship should include:
• Mental health support
• Family communication
• Workplace realities
• Nutrition and recovery
• Emotional resilience
• Long-term lifestyle changes

Education empowers people to navigate cancer with greater clarity and support.

Save this post and share it with someone navigating a cancer journey.

Every survivor carries a story most people never fully see.

The difficult conversations.
The long waiting periods.
The uncertainty behind every test result.
The courage it took to keep showing up.

Survivorship is not weakness after hardship. It is strength despite hardship.

This week, as CCF prepares for the Survivors Summit in Abuja, we continue celebrating the resilience, courage, and humanity behind every survivor story.

Tag a survivor whose strength continues to inspire others.

Many survivors carry invisible experiences that are difficult to explain.

The fear before scans.
The emotional exhaustion.
The pressure to appear “strong.”
The uncertainty that lingers even after treatment.

Today, we are opening space for honest conversation.

In one sentence, share something you think people misunderstand about cancer survivorship.

Brain tumors can affect memory, speech, movement, vision, emotions, and daily functioning in ways many people do not immediately recognize. Too often, symptoms are mistaken for stress, fatigue, migraines, or burnout.

Awareness matters because early medical attention can change outcomes.

This June, we continue standing with patients, survivors, caregivers, and families navigating the realities of brain tumors while advocating for greater understanding and timely diagnosis.

Share this post to increase awareness and encourage early medical attention when symptoms persist.

Many survivors are alive today because cancer was detected early enough for treatment to begin on time.

Awareness is powerful when it leads to action.

Knowing warning signs, attending screenings, asking questions, and seeking medical attention early can make the difference between fear and survival.

Book a screening or encourage someone you love to do so this month.

Hope can come from unexpected places. A phone call. A doctor who listened. A caregiver who stayed. A survivor story. A prayer. A community.

Today, we want to hear from you.

Share one thing that has given you hope during difficult times.
