Scroll through any African social media space and you'll see it.

The accusations. The defences. The women tired of carrying dead weight. The men saying their masculinity is under siege.

But what if we've misdiagnosed the patient?

What if this isn't a gender war at all?

This "gender war" isn't about men vs women.

It's about expectation vs reality.

We both just trying to survive in a world our parents' rules weren't designed for?

We're fighting each other because we don't know how to fight the system that's actually breaking us.
