"Young men and young women, cannot you form companies, and, as soldiers of Christ, enlist in the work, putting all your tact and skill and talent into the Master's service, that you may save souls from ruin? Let there be companies organized in every church to do this work. . . . "

A.L.I.V.E is an acronym for Africans Living In View of Eternity, and ALIVE Nigeria i

s the Nigerian Chapter of this global movement. ALIVE is a grassroots movement of Seventh-day Adventist young professionals determined to hasten the second coming of Jesus Christ in this generation. ALIVE seeks to inspire, train and mobilize African Seventh-day Adventist young adults; challenging them to biblical excellence and effective involvement in evangelism in every sphere, and engages in such activities as:
Conducting regular bible studies
Planning and holding visitations to hospitals, prisons and children homes
Missions and evangelistic activities
Training sessions for young people in various lines of ministry. The Nigeria chapter was formed on the 19th day of March, 2011 mainly as an organ to organize for the inaugural ALIVE conference in Nigeria, and plans are underway to formalize its operations and structures. is a movement of African Seventh-day Adventist young people (young professionals) living in view of eternity. We seek to revive, nurture and challenge a generation of Africans determined to hasten the second coming of Jesus Christ in this generation. SEEKS TO:

Mobilize and train African students and young professionals to be involved in ministry at the local church level and beyond. Support evangelistic efforts in Africa. Serve as a networking resource for African young people. RATIONALE FOR ALIVE NIGERIA
Consider Africa, our home. Even throughout continent boasts immense mineral resources that hold popular appeal, Africa still suffers from the ravaging effects of disease, poverty, war, and crippling illiteracy. In a day when conflicting ideas about solving Africa’s problems are all the rage, we believe, though, that the problems of our dying continent belie a deeper problem, albeit a spiritual one. Generally, millions have yet to have a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. The liberating three angels’ message, in particular, has not been presented in its true light. A.L.I.V.E Nigeria seeks to nurture, equip and challenge a generation of young professionals and graduates who are determined to hasten Christ second coming. WHO WE ARE
Men, Women, Any graduate or working professional whose heart is burdened for God’s Word and works. ALIVE Nigeria calls for those godly, gutsy, and smart individuals who yearn to represent Christ in their places of work and study, whose minds are preoccupied with presenting the Advent faith anywhere, anytime. A.L.I.V.E Nigeria exists to challenge and to equip with tools for individual missionary work. OUR COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE
We are committed to excellence in our service to God and humanity. What that means in practical terms is that ALIVE programs and its members are to commit to doing ordinary things extraordinarily well. In ALIVE, every little thing matters. Every detail counts.

He worked inside the system, but the system never got inside him.

In Book of Daniel 6, Daniel served under kings who didn’t honor God. Politics was corrupt, agendas were hidden, and pressure was constant. Yet he remained consistent — praying openly, living clean, refusing to blend in.

He didn’t run away. He stood apart.

That’s the tension. You can be surrounded by compromise without becoming part of it.

Separation is not always about distance; it’s about values.
Daniel didn’t need to announce it. His life made it obvious.

God still calls for that kind of distinction today.

The Second Epistle to the Corinthians 6:17 (KJV) says: “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you”

There are things that only make sense when you start from the right place.

“Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things…” (Revelation 4:11).

Heaven’s worship is recognizing the Source of everything. Creation points away from itself and back to God. Nothing exists independently, so nothing can rightly become the center of attention except the One who made it all.

The Sabbath gently reorders us. It pulls life back from noise and reminds us where everything began, and to whom everything and everyone belongs.

Rest in the right order today.
Happy Sabbath.

We live in a world that demands proof for everything. Measure it. Test it. Explain it. But the origin of all things sits beyond human instruments.
Scripture makes it plain:

“Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” (Hebrews 11:3 KJV).
Creation is not merely observed—it is understood by faith. The visible came from the invisible. What we can touch was spoken from what we cannot see.

The Sabbath calls us back to this reality. It reminds us that existence itself is rooted in God’s word, not human reasoning.

Rest today with quiet confidence. You are not an accident. You are the result of divine intention, sustained by the unseen power of the Creator.

Happy Sabbath.

She wasn’t supposed to be there.

In Second Book of Kings 5, a young servant girl (nameless, taken captive) spoke up in a foreign land. No title. No influence. Just a quiet suggestion: there’s a prophet in Israel who can heal.

That small statement set everything in motion. Naaman, a powerful commander, was healed — not by her status, but by her simple, sincere faith.
She didn’t visibly move mountains. She just spoke what she believed.
And heaven moved.

We often think faith must be big to matter. But God responds to what is real, not what is impressive.
Jesus said in Gospel of Matthew 17:20: “If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed… nothing shall be impossible unto you.”

What small step of faith have you been holding back? Share in the comments.

⚡Does our outward appearance mirror the state of our hearts?🤔

Let’s be honest for a second, how much effort do we put into looking "right" versus the effort we put into the state of our hearts? 💭

It’s so easy to get caught up in the outward appearance, the dress codes, and the "church face" we put on. 🎭👗 But what happens when the mask comes off? Is our character matching what we’re wearing? 🧐

We’re having a very honest, perhaps slightly uncomfortable, but necessary conversation this month at the ALIVE Nigeria Monthly Webinar. 🗣️✨ *The theme for this month is "The Naked Church:* Your Dress and Your Heart." We are not just talking about clothes; we’re talking about authenticity and what it means to be truly seen by God. 🙌🏾📖

Our Speaker *Damilola Adebusoye* will be leading the session and we really believe this is a "heart check" we all need. 🎙️❤️‍🔥

📅 Date: Sunday, *May 17th*
🕗 Time: *8:00 PM* (WAT)

Set your reminders now! God is more interested in the "naked" truth of our hearts than the masks we wear.

He almost talked himself out of it.

In First Book of Samuel 15, King Saul was given a clear instruction: destroy everything. But when the moment came, he adjusted the command. The best animals were spared. The excuse sounded spiritual — “we’ll sacrifice them to God.”

It looked like devotion. It felt reasonable. But it was disobedience.
Saul didn’t rebel loudly. He just edited what God said.
That’s the danger. Disobedience rarely feels like hatred for God. Sometimes it hides behind “good intentions,” convenience, or what makes sense in the moment.
Love doesn’t negotiate instructions.

Jesus later makes it plain in Gospel of John 14:15: “If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
Love is not just emotion. It is obedience.

Where are you tempted to “adjust” what God has said? Be honest in the comments — let’s talk.

Before anything existed, Christ already was. Not created, not formed—eternal. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made” (John 1:1–3).

The hands that shaped creation are the same hands that walked among men. The voice that spoke light into darkness is the same voice that still calls today.

Sabbath is more than rest, it is remembrance. The Creator is not distant; He stepped into His creation.
Rest in this: the One who made all things knows you fully and holds you still.

Happy Sabbath.
