Today, February 5, we pause to celebrate the birthday of our dearly departed brother, friend, and visionary leader—Mr. Cornelius Ehimiaghe. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit, legacy, and the light he brought to so many lives shine as brightly as ever on this special day.

Cornelius lived a life of profound purpose and quiet strength. His unwavering selflessness, gentle demeanor, and genuine joy in serving others touched countless hearts. He was never one to harbor anger; instead, he chose kindness, humor, and encouragement in every interaction. His passion for nurturing young talents through sports and education was unmatched—he poured his heart into empowering the next generation, building bridges across states, and fostering hope where it was needed most.

A true pillar of the Community Sports and Educational Development Initiative (CSED), and a cherished partner to the Francis and Fidelia Ibhawoh Foundation, Cornelius extended his reach far beyond borders. His deep love for Bendel Insurance Football Club—the Benin Arsenal—remains legendary, exemplified by his generous N1 million donation last April, a testament to his lifelong dedication as one of its most faithful supporters.

Today, as we honor his birthday, we reflect with gratitude on the memories we shared: his soft voice filled with laughter, his intentional acts of help, the warmth of his presence during family visits, and the enduring impact of his work that continues to inspire youth development and community progress.

His absence is profoundly felt, and his impact will be sorely missed every day. Yet, in celebrating his life today, we reaffirm our commitment to carrying forward the values he embodied—selflessness, compassion, and a relentless drive to uplift others.

Happy posthumous birthday, dear Cornelius. Your legacy lives on in every young talent nurtured, every goal celebrated, and every life you transformed.

May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

Amen.

May the joy and peace that come with the season remain in your hearts and homes now and always. Amen ❤️
