Dear Nigerians,

TO THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN ASKING WHETHER FOLUKE DARAMOLA IS FROM OSHODI

— YES, MARITALLY AND POLITICALLY!

Hon. Foluke Daramola-Salako has been part of the progressive politics in Oshodi/Isolo Constituency I for many years.

Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, a leader of the party and many leaders in Oshodi, can testify to this fact.

In 2021, Foluke and her husband, Hon. Olukayode Salako, were part of the 12-man Campaign Directorate of the current Chairman of Oshodi/Isolo Local Government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede.

Together, they worked tirelessly for the success of his election, delivering more than 10 polling units in the Ewu/Ogunoloko political wards, where they operate.

Indeed, Foluke became actively involved in Oshodi/Isolo politics, even before her husband fully joined the political structure in the constituency.

In 2014, shortly after the formation of the All Progressives Congress (APC), she registered as a member, alongside her husband on Bode Onifade Avenue, under Ogunoloko Ward.

Again, during the 2021 party membership re-registration exercise, she renewed her membership with her husband.

In 2026, during the latest APC membership re-registration, both of them re-registered on Oba Elewu Way (formerly Popoola Street) in Ewu Ward.

Bode Onifade Avenue is a popular street in Ewu Town, although politically it falls under Ogunoloko Ward.

It is also the same street where Hon. Salako and his wife have operated their school, Bosworth College International, for many years.

As indigenes and residents of Ewu, they chose to re-register this year in Ewu Ward to correct the earlier political ward location anomaly.

Hon. Foluke Daramola-Salako has remained visibly active and prominent in Oshodi/Isolo Constituency I politics, since the days of AD, AC, and ACN.

For the past 29 years, that she has actively been involved in politics, she has remained a loyal follower and committed supporter of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the progressive political family in Nigeria.

Foluke Daramola-Salako is a beautiful, faithful, loyal, hardworking, committed, and longstanding chieftain of the progressive political family in Nigeria

With a deep sense of gratitude and responsibility, I extend my heartfelt appreciation to Her Excellency, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Yeye Oluremi Tinubu, for her unwavering advocacy and purposeful leadership, in promoting the 35% affirmative action policy for women’s inclusion in politics, leadership, and governance in Nigeria.

Yeye Tinubu’s voice and commitment, gave courage and inspiration to me and many other women, across the nation to participate actively in the just concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives primary election.

Her leadership continues to remind us that public service is not a privilege, reserved for a select few, but a responsibility open to all, who are willing to serve humanity with dedication and integrity.

I also express my profound appreciation to our revered political leaders at the national, state, and local levels, traditional rulers, party faithful, and the good people of Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency I, for the overwhelming love, support, encouragement, and acceptance of my aspiration for the House of Representatives.

To my fellow aspirants and brothers in this race, I sincerely appreciate your spirit of sportsmanship, maturity, and shared commitment to the growth and development of our constituency.

Foluke picked up the nomination form in due time, submitted it, and has been successful with the screening exercise of her party, the All Progressives Congress of Nigeria.

Yemi my lover, the vetran Nollywood actor, and Folasade Eno, an actress colleague, were with her in Abuja to offer all the supports.
