Model United Nations Development Organization (MUNDO) is a network hub of diverse and talented professionals drawn from the field of academia, politics, media & Communication, finance & business, Medicine, Agriculture and more… Their works are principally to promotes the diplomatic functions of the United Nations and its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across the continents. MUNDO symbolizes
an embodiment of linkage between the youths and the United Nations by providing them (the youths). MUNDO LAGOS is the Lagos arm of MUNDO INTERNATIONAL. HOW IT WORKS:
MUNDO LAGOS helps create awareness on United Nations diplomatic functions, Sustainable Development Goals and other related issues of International concern through annual MUN conferences. It engages the today’s youths and future leaders in intellectual discussion as a means of training them on diplomacy, global communication, round table negotiation, debating skills and public speaking confidence in addition to critical thinking, arts of lobbying and international politics. Through its Model UN Institute; It helps schools and other institutions start MUN program for the benefits of their students and as well conduct training and workshop for the same on how to attend or host an MUN conference. WHAT MAKES IT UNIQUE:
MUNDO LAGOS is not restricted to a particular institution or geographical Locations, it is rather, a conglomerate of professionals, community mobilizers and trained diplomats with unbeatable experiences over the years that cut across all sectors. Its networking program where members are taken to Embassies, High commissions and other UN offices where young and potential future leaders with keen interests in diplomacy got to interact with the members of the Diplomatic Communities. AIMS/GOALS/OBJECTIVES
Model United Nations Development Organization Lagos sets to achieve the following aims
1. To promote the diplomatic functions of the United Nations and its Global Development Agenda
2. To provide the required atmospheric platform for the next generation of global diplomats and peace negotiators to add their voices to the international voices through MUN Conferences
3. Our training and Workshops are designed to build the public speaking skills and capacity of our members
4. To strengthened the National & International security by teaching the concept of round table negotiation and compromise tendencies (Give & Take) as alternative dispute resolution as against the use of force and violence
5. To create awareness of contemporary National and International issues amongst the upcoming leaders
6. To arouse or instigate the interest of the upcoming leaders in diplomacy and international relations/politics
7. To create critical thinkers and foster patriotic thinking among the global youths
8. Breaking ethno-religious barrier for National and International growth and development through Global Citizens Program
