Association of African Environmental Practitioners The Association of African Environmental Practitioners’ headquarters is situated in Lagos with a temporary functional office in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.

Established in 2016 as a non-governmental organization for the purpose of uniting environmental professional and national environmental associations in Africa, the Association of African Environmental Practitioners’ (AAEP) was created by a group of progressively-minded environmentalists as a federation of national environmental associations, corporate and unincorporated environmental entities and

individual environmentalists. The Association seeks amongst other objectives to foster exchange of opinions and experiences among members, formulation of policies that would better reposition the continent’s environmental and socio-economic development and advancement with the environmental sustainability as the bedrock for these developments. The Association brings together the five African sub-regional environmental practitioners, their respective National Associations spread over the AAEP continent.
