From research that exists on strokes worldwide
• Around 17 million people worldwide suffer from stroke every year
• About a quarter of strokes happen in people aged less than 65 years
• Stroke leaves around one third of victims permanently disabled
• Recurrent stroke is common in stroke survivors and around a quarter of people who recover from their first stroke will have another one within 5 years.

On the 21st of June 2025, the Michael and Francisca Foundation successfully held a Community Awareness Program titled “Free Stroke & Hypertension Awareness Program”, aimed at promoting prevention, education, and support for individuals and families affected by stroke, hypertension and NCDs

Know Your Numbers
Free Blood Pressure, BMI, and Blood Sugar Checks for community members.

Support Services
Tailored support for Stroke Survivors and their Family Caregivers.

Health Education & Counseling
Distribution of educational materials and one-on-one counseling sessions on stroke, NCDs, and healthy living.

The event brought hope, empowerment, and critical health services directly to the community. We thank all our partners, volunteers, and attendees for making it a success.
