The Stranger with the Sweet

Eight-year-old Tobi was walking home from school when a neatly dressed man stopped his car beside him.

"Hello, champion!" the man said with a smile. "I bought some chocolates for children today. Come and take yours."

Tobi paused. The chocolates looked tempting. The man smiled warmly, making him seem friendly

"Don't worry," the man continued. "I know your parents. I'll even give you a ride home."
For a moment, Tobi almost believed him.

Then he remembered what his mother always told him:

"No matter how kind a stranger looks, never collect gifts or enter their car without my permission."

Instead of moving closer, Tobi stepped back and quickly ran to a nearby shop where other adults were standing. The man drove away immediately.

When Tobi got home, he told his parents everything that had happened. They praised him for making the right decision and reported the incident to the appropriate authorities.

That one lesson his parents had taught him may have saved his life.

Lessons for Children
Never accept sweets, toys, money, or gifts from strangers.
Never enter a stranger's car, even if they claim to know your family.
If a stranger approaches you, move to a safe place where trusted adults are present.
Always tell your parents, guardian, or teacher if something like this happens.

Lessons for Parents
Children should not learn about "stranger danger" only at school. These conversations must happen regularly at home. Teach them what to do, who to trust, and reassure them that they can always tell you anything without fear.

A five-minute conversation today could protect your child tomorrow.
Question: If you were Tobi's parent, what safety lesson would you teach your child after reading this story?
