ELIANA by Olowojesiku Deborah IyanuOluwa
Episode 15
Bankole and his wife embarked on a three days fasting and prayer. At first, it looks like something they couldn't do but Bankole kept praying to God for grace. When it looks like strength was failing them, the Holy spirit told them to take water so that they would be able to pray.
On the third day, an unusual anger came upon Eliana, she was angry in her spirit and that made her pray with so much anger. After they prayed, Bankole made decrees over his wife and anointed her while Eliana did the same for him.
Exhausted from long hours of prayer, the couple decided to take a nap to get strength to pray at midnight. Immediately Eliana closed her eyes to sleep, she met herself at the back of her Uncle's compound where she was tied while her aunty and two other women stood there laughing at her.
She suddenly called the name of Jesus and an angel with a sword appeared. He began cutting the rope with the sword in his hand when Eliana's aunty tried to interrupt. The angel slapped her aunty and she lost her voice immediately. The two other women seeing what had happened to their leader ran away. The angel loosed Eliana and told her to go.
Eliana woke up screaming and crying. Bankole woke up almost immediately and asked why she was in tears. Eliana explained the content of the dream to him and they both began to sing songs of praise to the Lord for the great deliverance He gave to them.
The following Monday after the three days prayer and fasting, Bankole went with his wife to her shop and for the first time in months, Eliana made great sales. At a point, she tried to figure out where this people had been all these while until a customer claimed that she had never seen Eliana's shop until that morning.
It was then it made sense to Eliana, people had been passing by her shop but they weren't seeing her. Another person claimed all he had been seeing was a closed shop. This revelation made Eliana teary that she had to stylish wipe the tears that threaten to fall from her face.
For thirty years, she suffered and struggled simply because someone was trying to prevent her from fulfilling God's purpose. Eliana was so grateful to God for revealing the source of her problem because if he hadn't, she would still be praying amiss.
Two days later, Bankole received a call from his elder brother. At first, he was afraid to pick upon remembering how he pulled out of the family company to go start a company with his friend who ended up sidelining him. Bankole finally decided to pick his brother's call after his wife encouraged him to do.
Bankole: Good morning, egbon mi.
Lucas: Why didn't you pick at the first ring?
Bankole: I am sorry egbon, I....
Lucas: Your position at the company is still available. You can resume on Monday.
Bankole: What??
Lucas: I was angry when you pulled out of the company but then, I can never forget your labour. You came into the family company when it began to collapse because of Dad's promiscuity and you help rebuild it. To be honest, that company is doing well today because of you.
Bankole: (fell on his knees and couldn't stop tearing up) Egbon mi, I don't know what to say.
Lucas: You are a genius and I know you are capable of taking the company to the next height. So, little brother, see you on Monday.
Bankole: Thank you so much sir.
Lucas: I think that should go to my wife. She has refused to let me be until I bring you back to the company.
Bankole: I will come visiting this weekend to properly appreciate her. Thank you very much Egbon, my regards to your wife and children.
Lucas: My regards to your wife, too.
Immediately the call ended, Bankole began to dance in appreciation to God for restoring all that he had lost.
His father was a billionaire when he was alive, he had companies all over the country but all of a sudden his business began to crumble because of his extra-marital affairs. When it looks like everything their father suffered to build was going down the drain, Bankole stepped in and with God by his side, he was able to savage the situation. Though it took him almost three years, things finally got better but he lost his father to a sexually transmitted disease.
