It feels good to be back!

A close friend once told me ‘Sometimes you have to go offline so that you can come online’
That statement may look quite contrasting but it holds a lot of wisdom. Many times we get caught up in life’s activities and exigencies that we never get to catch up with our very selves.

Sometimes we need to disconnect and detach effectively so that we can return with genuineness and precision. I’m glad that for most of 2021, I was able to take some good time off and active Social media in general. The good news however is I am back. I am back with renewed vision and commitment to my life’s purpose.

I was able to incubate my ideas for Fourth Leap Consulting, a social impact consulting agency I started last year. I was able to get more clarity for our work at The Young Leaders Council. I was also able to better understand my interests in National development, developing young professionals, and playing my part in ensuring global prosperity.

You can be sure you’ll see more of my conversations and engagements along these lines.

Happy New Year!
Cheers to an impactful 2022!

Happy new year!

As soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth het children. This year is heavily pregnant and would definitely bring forth good tidings.

It’s a new season and we would eat the fruit of it.

Cheers to a year of leadership and impact. 🥂

The Tabula rasa theory.

It is not just a theory, it’s a fact. Nobody is born with any form of knowledge. We all have individuals we probably admire for their wealth of knowledge, depth of wisdom and seemingly so much experience.

Yes, they deserved to be admired, because they have put in the effort to read, to learn and to expose themselves. You can’t know simply by wishing to know. You have to take active steps at learning. It’s not always a function of your background or access to some special knowledge or opportunities. The fact that you are reading this means you have access to the internet and that’s your starting point.

I always say, ‘Common knowledge gives you no advantage’. so the question is what knowledge have you acquired today. Nobody was born with knowledge. Get to work.

I don’t have a choice.

This is one very popular lie many of us tell ourselves and it’s usually the bane of so many creative ideas and alternatives to be considered. Life is all about choices and the very essence of our configuration as human beings is the ability to think and make intelligent decisions (choices)

Many a time, when this statement is used, it’s usually because the consequence of making the obvious other choices look threatening or the parties involved have not considered critically exploring such options. Making this statement may also seem to take the responsibility and consequence of such decisions away from us. However, that is still self-deceit, because we are always responsible for the decisions we make.

So, the next time you are about to say, ‘I don’t have a choice’ remember to check again, give it some thought and be intentional about the fact that you are making a well-informed decision against other possible alternatives. You always have a choice, no matter how difficult.
