*Title: Behind The Village*

There was a village called Ireti.
On the surface, it looked ordinary. Dusty roads, mango trees, women frying akara by 5am, children hawking sachet water.

But *behind the village* was a different story.

---

*1. Behind the quiet boy was a dream*
Everyone knew Tunde. The boy who fetched water for 3 houses before school. Torn uniform. Quiet eyes.
Teachers called him "slow" because he was always late.

What they didn’t see was this:
Every night by candlelight, behind his mother’s shop, Tunde was reading.
Old textbooks. Borrowed novels. Even the back of cement bags.
He told himself: _"One day, I will carry this village on my back to the world."_

*2. Behind the struggling woman was a seed*
Mama Sodiq sold beans by the roadside. Rain or sun.
People said, "E be like this is all she can do."

But behind her pot was a notebook.
Every profit, no matter how small, she wrote it down.
"For Tunde’s school fees. For generator. For shop."
She wasn’t just selling beans. She was planting a future.

*3. Behind the laughter was pain*
The village youths would gather under the big tree every evening. Music. Jokes. Gossip.
From outside, it looked like peace.

But behind the laughter, many were tired.
Tired of no light. Tired of "no job". Tired of waiting for help that never came.
So they made a decision: _"If help won’t come, we will become the help."_

They started a small group. FFM - *Future Makers*.
1 person teaches phone repair. 1 person teaches baking. 1 person teaches how to sell online.
No money. Just skill, and faith.

---

*Years later...*

The road to Ireti is now tarred.
There’s a solar-powered learning center behind the village square.
Tunde? He’s now Engr. Tunde. He built it.
Mama Sodiq? She owns 3 shops and employs 6 girls.
FFM? It’s now training people from 5 other villages.

Visitors come and say, "Wow, what a beautiful village."

But the elders just smile and say:
*"You are seeing the front. You don’t know what’s behind the village."*

Behind the village was:
- *Prayers at midnight*
- *Shame that turned to strength*
- *Small daily decisions that nobody clapped for*
- *People who refused to quit*

---

*The Lesson for You Today* ❤️
Whatever you’re going through right now...
People only see your "front". The struggle. The delay. The silence.

But *behind your story* is God working.
Behind your hustle are seeds growing.
Behind your tears is a testimony being built.

Don’t quit.
The world will one day see the "front" and clap.
But you will know the truth: *Great things are built behind the village.*

*Keep planting. Keep praying. Keep pushing.*
Your "behind the village" season is not wasted.

If this blessed you, tag someone who needs to hear it 🙏

🕊️ A LEGEND HAS TAKEN HIS FINAL BOW — REST WELL, OGOGO 🕊️

Some deaths are difficult to accept because the person who has gone feels as though they have always been there.

Today, my heart joins millions of Nigerians, the entire Nollywood family, and especially the Yoruba movie industry in mourning the painful loss of a true legend, Alhaji Taiwo Hassan, popularly known and loved as Ogogo. 💔

This is indeed a very deep and painful loss.

For decades, Ogogo was more than a face on our television screens. He became part of our homes, our childhood memories, our laughter and our culture. Through countless unforgettable performances, he entertained us, taught us, made us laugh, moved us emotionally and helped tell the beautiful stories of our people.

There are actors who play characters, and then there are actors whose presence becomes part of an entire generation.

Ogogo was one of those rare legends.

His voice was unmistakable.
His screen presence was commanding.
His talent was undeniable.
And his contribution to Nigerian cinema can never be erased.

The curtain may have fallen on his earthly journey, but it can never fall on his legacy.

Long after today, another generation will watch his movies. They will hear that familiar voice, see that unforgettable presence and discover the extraordinary man millions of us were privileged to watch and celebrate.

That is the beautiful thing about leaving a legacy:

Death may take the person, but it cannot take the footprints they left behind.

My deepest condolences go to his children, family, friends, colleagues, the people of Ilaro, the Nollywood community and every fan whose heart is heavy today.

May Almighty Allah comfort his family in ways that words cannot.

May He give them strength when the house feels unusually quiet, courage when the memories become overwhelming and peace whenever they remember the man they loved.

Alhaji Taiwo Hassan “Ogogo,” you came, you gave your gift to the world, you made your mark and you will never be forgotten.

The cameras may stop rolling.
The lights may go dim.
The final scene may have ended…

But legends never truly leave the stage. Their work keeps speaking long after the applause has stopped. 🕊️

May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, shower him with His infinite mercy and grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus. Ameen. 🤲🏽

Farewell, Legend.
Farewell, Ogogo. 💔🕊️
Your name is written permanently in the history of Nigerian cinema.

With deepest sympathy,
Lydia Ikhine 💙
