Xenophobia entering hospitals is a dangerous new low.
No African should be denied care because of where they come from.
This is unacceptable. Completely.
When xenophobia enters hospitals, it stops being just discrimination—it becomes a direct threat to human life.
No one should be denied access to medical care because of where they come from.
No one should be harassed, intimidated, or chased out of a place meant to save lives.
Let’s be clear:
This is how dangerous patterns escalate.
It starts with rhetoric.
Then harassment.
Then violence.
And now—even hospitals are no longer safe spaces?
Africans targeting fellow Africans—especially Nigerians and other foreign nationals—is a growing crisis that cannot be ignored or normalized.
We cannot build a united continent while simultaneously creating environments where people are treated as outsiders in Africa.
Authorities in South Africa must act decisively:
* Investigate this incident thoroughly
* Hold individuals accountable
* Reinforce that healthcare spaces are neutral, protected zones
Beyond that, African leaders must confront xenophobia head-on—not with silence, but with clear policies, enforcement, and public reorientation.
Because if this is allowed to continue, it sends a dangerous message:
That your nationality determines whether you live or die.
Xenophobia entering hospitals is a dangerous new low.
No African should be denied care because of where they come from.
