Ebonyi youth Accountability Forum is not just a social media page, but is also a platform that comes to Drive what it's Name stands for and Represents.
This platform is highly organized, that is why we are taking time to do things the proper way, but from now on, we will be consistent especially online to drive the vision of this noble platform.
Our Aims and vision are.....

1: To support good leadership and growth in our dear state Ebonyi.

2: To open the eyes of our people to the things they need to know and need to demand accountability from public officials.

3: To use the platform as means of historic learning and evaluation of the reality at the present.

4: To give voice to those who deserve to be heard and justice to them.
Etc.
We are committed to see Ebonyi state to be a better place.
We are committed to see our people get what is due to them through accountability.
We are committed to transparency and justice.

Historic perspective.
Successive administrations in Ebonyi state after independence.
After Nigeria independence in 1960, the area of present Ebonyi was a part of post independence Eastern Region until 1967 when the region was split and the area became part of the East central state.
Ebonyi state was officially created on October 1st, 1996.
Pre... Creation Era (1960-1996).

Eastern Region (1960-1967): Part of the post independence Eastern Region of Nigeria.

East Central state (1967-1976): Formed after the Eastern region was split and the area became part of it then.

Anambra and Imo states (1976-1991): The region was divided in 1976, placing parts in Northern Anambra and southern Imo states.

Enugu and Abia states (1991-1996): Further state creation exercise placed the territory within the newly carved Enugu and Abia states, until Ebonyi was finally created in 1996. Since it creation, Ebonyi state has been led by two military administrators and four civilian governments.

1: Navy commander Walter Feghabo (October 1996- August 1998): First military administrator of the state, appointed by the then head of the state, General Sani Abacha.

2:Navy commander Simmon Oduoye (August 1998- May 1999): Second military administrator during the transition to civilian rule.

3: Dr. Sam. Egwu (May 1999- May 2007): First democratically elected executive governor of Ebonyi state in the fourth Republic. He was a member of PDP then.

4: Chief Martin Elechi (May 2007- May 2015): Second executive governor of the state. A PDP member then.

5: Engr. Dave Umahi (May 2015- May 2023): Third executive governor of the state a member of PDP, who later defended to APC.

6: Hon. Francis Nwifuru :(May 2023- present) : Forth executive governor of the state and the current governor of Ebonyi state. He is a member of APC....

And Justice.
These should be our concern as youths of Ebonyi state. Is our right to demand for accountability in a civil way, ensure transparency. Is our duty to take part in building a state we want, the state we will be proud of today and tomorrow a state where there is peace, social aminities and a state where the official are working for the good of the people, is our duty to ensure it.
Is our right to demand for justice and to ensure that all ebonyians are treated justly through unity towards common goals as people.....
Ebonyi youths have a lot of work to do in this aspect to ensure that the future of our state is save.
Be part of it, it concerns everything youth of Ebonyi.

Society decay when we fail to ask important questions we need to. There is knowledge how you can ask questions on things you don't know or have knowledge on, that is why we need knowledge of facts in our society, mostly in our state Ebonyi.
The youths are the pillars of every society, Ebonyi youths are the pillars of Ebonyi and they are the ones that will determine how Ebonyi state will be in the future, for them and their unborn children. Ebonyi youth must embrace knowledge and must be interested in what is happening in the state, we must be ready to ask critical questions and demand accountability where needed. Our eyes must be open to our historical events and present realities in Ebonyi state.
There are needs to focus on things that are more important and things that will benefit and help us as people and state.
Our eye must be on the scale of knowledge of what is happening in Ebonyi state and need for accountability.
The approach must be Peaceful, point base and being proactive in a civil way as good citizens of the state, knowing fully well that we have the duty to build a prosperous state through our God giving potentials.
Ebonyi is Blessed.

ACCOUNTABILITY THROUGH KNOWLEDGE.
Demanding accountability comes with knowledge of History and facts of the present. Here we talk and discuss history, look into facts and realities of the present, analyze them and ask required questions.....
Accountability is very important and is the duty of the people to ensure it....
Ebonyi youth are the ones that will champion this course in our dear state, if we must grow and move forward.
We must do it as group and as individuals, in our various communities and local government.
We must be concerned with it and we must handle it as our business..

ACCOUNTABILITY NOW....
He is getting ready, working towards his second term, holding series of meetings with stakeholders and party members in the state. Non of us are against his Ambition, but what some of us are concerned with is ACCOUNTABILITY.

How did the current governor performed in this first term in office?

What projects did he carry out, and how where they done?

How did he manage or mismanage the resources of Ndi Ebonyi?

How did he award contracts to who and how are they done?

What are his focus in this first term, did he focus on the needs of Ndi Ebonyi or not?.

Did majority of Ebonyians benefit from his government and how?

These and many other questions should be what Ndi Ebonyi should focus on, evaluate by themselves, ask the governor the ones they need to ask and hear from the governor, not making unnecessary noise. We should learn how to ask important questions and hold our public office holders accountable on their various offices, and this election time is a very good time to do it.

A recent video made by this our brother in this picture about how poor the governor of Ebonyi state has performed is the reason for this write up.
Out of concern, he speaks up on the poor state of Abakiliki, the capital of Ebonyi state, when he attend a burial in the state. But he made some statement which where not true and was very wrong out of ignorance.
He said that Dave has done all the things needed to be done in Ebonyi state, I don't know if he means the state capital, that what the current governor needed to do is to maintain what Dave has done. The problem with all this content creator is that they don't make research, they just talk on a section of things they see, which they don't look into it deeper.
He did not know that Dave umahi mismanaged the resources of Ebonyi state during his 8 year as a governor, that is why he was not transparent and Accountable.
The content creator fail to ask questions how contracts and projects are being awarded and executed during Dave's time, companies that handles those projects, actual amount release and amount later used.
What about other important sectors and need of Ndi Ebonyi that Dave intentionally ignored, like basic education in the state, especially public schools that are in very bad condition in the state, mostly in rural areas. Before you give any leader a credit, go round his state, not just the capital, Ebonyi state have development centers across all the local governments in the state, the governor appoints the head, and give them resources they use to work, but both Dave and the current governor don't care what this people do with those public resources.
Dave is very far from being a leader, he lack the quality. Playing a politics of selfishness in the name of state development is what Dave did for 8 years, meanwhile, he was busy deceiving the poor people.
Our major concern is Accountability and Transparency, if you lack those qualities you are very far from being a leader, talk more of performing well.
