HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY, NIGERIA — NYCN LAGOS.
Today, as we commemorate Nigeria’s Independence Day, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Lagos State Chapter, under the leadership of the chairman, Engr. Adigun Ibrahim Olalekan Adigun (MNSE), celebrates the resilience, diversity, and enduring spirit of our great nation.
Independence is not only a reflection on where we have come from; it is also a reminder of the responsibility we carry in shaping where Nigeria is headed.
As the largest demographic of our nation, Nigerian youths have a critical role to play in building a peaceful, inclusive, productive, and prosperous Nigeria. We must continue to embrace civic responsibility, acquire relevant skills, pursue opportunities, promote peace, and actively contribute to the development of our communities.
At NYCN Lagos, we remain committed to Youth Engagement, Empowerment and Employment, while creating platforms that enable young people to participate meaningfully in governance and nation-building.
As we celebrate another year of independence, let us renew our collective commitment to a Nigeria where every young person can dream, contribute, and thrive.
