BACK2STREET INITIATIVE
The National Youth Council of Nigeria yesterday stormed Ikeja Division with a powerful grassroots advocacy campaign aimed at promoting peace, responsible living, and active civic participation among youths.
The Back2Street Advocacy Tour took off at Onigbongbo LCDA, where the we engaged with the leadership of the council and emphasized the urgent need for youth involvement in nation-building.
Our team proceeded to Area F Police Division, strengthening collaboration with security agencies in the collective fight against crime, cultism, and drug-related activities within our communities.
In continuation of the advocacy, we paid homage to the palace of the Awuse of Onigbongbo Kingdom, appreciating the traditional institution for its role in preserving peace, unity, and moral values among the people.
Taking the message directly to the grassroots, we moved into the streets of Ikeja for direct engagement with youths and residents—spreading awareness and encouraging positive social values.
Our advocacy train also visited the Ikeja Local Government Secretariat and later the Ojodu LCDA Secretariat, where conversations centered on youth development, community engagement, and the importance of responsible citizenship.
Throughout the tour, the message remained loud and clear:
Say NO to Drug Abuse.
Say NO to Cultism.
Say YES to Voter Education and Participation.
The campaign reflects the unwavering commitment of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Lagos State Chapter, headed by the chairman Engr. Adigun Ibrahim Olalekan to building a generation of informed, disciplined, and socially responsible young people across Lagos State.
Build The Youth
Build The Nation!!
