On Thursday, 18th June 2026, the Education Group of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) hosted its conference themed "Technology, Policy and Access: Building Inclusive Education Systems for the Future." The event brought together educators, policymakers, technology experts, and industry stakeholders to discuss the future of education in Nigeria.

The conference featured a Welcome Address by Mrs. Bukunola Fadayomi, Chairman of the LCCI Education Group, and Opening Remarks by Engr. Leye Kupoluyi, LCCI President and Chairman of Council, who emphasized the need to align access, technology, and policy to address educational challenges. Keynote addresses were delivered by Mrs. Abisola Dokunmu-Adegbite, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Basic Education, and Mr. Foluso Phillips, Chairman of Phillips Consulting.

The first panel session of the event was themed "Digital Equity in Education: Policies for Inclusive Education." The session was moderated by Mrs.Titi Adewusi, Co-Founder of 9ijakids, and featured distinguished discussants including Dr. Fowowe Simeon Sunday, National President of the Association of Early Childhood and Basic Education Instructors in Nigeria (AECBEIN); Mrs. Bolaji Osime, Chief Executive Officer of Global International College; and Mr. Abiodun Kawonise, Chief Executive Officer of EdTek Interactive.

The second panel session, themed "Future-Ready Institutions," was moderated by Mr. Koyejo Oluwatosin, Chief Executive Officer of Chronicle Software. Panelists included Mr. Oladega Adebogun, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Caleb Group of Schools, represented by Prof. Olalekan Asikhia, Vice Chancellor of Caleb University; Mrs. Mavi Isibor F.IoD Fpmc, Founder of Poise Nigeria Limited, represented by Mrs. Ozoemena Blessing of Karis School; Mrs. Olufunke Amber-Fowler, Proprietor of Vivian Fowler Memorial College for Girls ; and Mr. Ayokunmi Abraham of Union Bank Plc.

The programme also featured a medical session on Post-Trauma Experiences in Children led by Dr. Temilade Adegbite and a Membership Sensitization presentation by Mrs. Olajumoke Fashanu, FCA. The event concluded with the presentation of plaques to speakers and contributors.

Bridging Tourism and Technology: LCCI Hosts Transformative Masterclass on Digital Innovation.

On Wednesday, 17 June 2026, the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), through its Hotel and Tourism Group and E-Commerce Group, hosted a one-day joint masterclass.
The event, themed "Tourism Meets Innovation: Powered by E-Commerce," was built around a simple yet powerful idea: that Nigeria's tourism industry can be transformed by placing innovation and e-commerce at its core.

The Opening Remark was delivered by the LCCI President and Chairman of Council, Engr. Leye Kupoluyi, while the Welcome Address was presented by the Acting Chairman of the Hotel and Tourism Group, Dr. Tunde Lawrenson, CEO of X-Media Communications Limited.

The Keynote Speech was given by the Chairman of the E-Commerce Group, Mr. Temidayo Ojo, CEO of Jumia Nigeria, and was ably represented by Mr. Nicholas Obasigie, NIM. The Guest Speaker was Ms. Abiola Adelana, Head of Tourism and Creative Arts Business at Sterling Bank.

A major highlight of the programme was a carefully curated Masterclass Session on Digital Transformation Strategies, designed to bridge the gap between tourism potential and digital ex*****on. The session featured a robust lineup of speakers, including:
• Mr. Ezekiel Solesi, Chief Executive Officer, LIMB Simple Academy; 
• Mr. Nicholas Obasigie, NIM, Head of Marketplace and Seller Management, Jumia Nigeria; 
• Mrs. Kunbi Adeoti, FCIPM, GPHR,SHRM-SCP, SPHRI, CXAC,SCGN, Chief People Experience Officer, Leadway Assurance Company Limited; and 
• Mr. Bode Adesemowo, CTO and Co-Founder, eMigr8.ai Technology Platform.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Chinyere Almona FCA, DG/CEO, LCCI.

By bringing together key players from the hospitality, travel, and e-commerce sectors under one roof, LCCI once again demonstrated its commitment to driving thought leadership and delivering practical solutions for Nigerian businesses while fostering innovation and digital transformation within the tourism industry.
