LCCI Agric Symposium & Exhibition 2026: Advancing Nigeria’s Agricultural Future

The LCCI Agric Symposium & Exhibition 2026, held on 23rd and 24th September 2026, brought together policymakers, business leaders, investors, agricultural experts and entrepreneurs to explore “The Future of Nigeria: Agricultural Industrialisation as the Foundation for Regional Development.” Discussions focused on agricultural industrialisation, agro-processing, food security, investment, technology and value-chain development.

The event began with a welcome address by Engr. Leye Kupoluyi, President and Chairman of Council, LCCI, alongside contributions from key stakeholders, including Mr. Durojaiye David Olusiji, representing Mr Ayo Sotinrin, MD/CEO Bank of Agriculture; Emmanuel Audu, Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture and Food Systems, representing the Honorable Commissioner, Lagos State Ministry Of Agriculture; Mrs. Patience Afanide, Head of Product and Market Department, NEPC Lagos Regional Office; Mr. Olusesan Ayeni, Executive Director, Corporate Services, Origin Tech Group; and Mrs. Tolulola Olumide, MD, Funtuna Foods and Drinks Ltd., among others.

The two-day event also featured panel and Q&A sessions exploring key issues around agricultural industrialisation and food security, while the exhibition showcased agricultural products, innovations and solutions, creating opportunities for networking, partnerships and business connections. The symposium reinforced the importance of stronger collaboration in building a more productive and competitive agricultural sector in Nigeria.

On Thursday, 17th September 2026, the LCCI Automobile and Allied Services Group convened its symposium, "From Subsidy to Credit: Can Vehicle Financing Replace Fuel Subsidy as Nigeria's Mobility Equalizer?"

The welcome address was delivered by LCCI President and Chairman of Council, Engr. Leye Kupoluyi, represented by Vice President and Chairman, Public Affairs and Advocacy Committee, Engr. Opeyemi Aminu.

Dr Femi Eguaikhide, Chairman, LCCI Automobile and Allied Services Group, delivered the opening remarks, followed by a keynote address from Chief Otunba Oluwemimo J. Osanipin, Director-General, National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), represented by Tanko Timothy, Principal Information Officer.

Chief Anselm Ilekuba, Chairman, Association of Local Content Manufacturers of Nigeria (ALCMAN), delivered the Special Guest Address,represented by his daughter Mmesoma Christabel Ilekuba, AAT, ACA

The symposium further featured a panel session moderated by Mr. Abiona Babarinde, GM, Marketing and Corporate Communications, Coscharis Group. It closed with an interactive Q&A session, a car exhibition tour, and networking.
