The Voluntary Workcamps Association of Nigeria (VWAN) is proud to announce an immersive 7-day youth workcamp at the Social Development Institute (SDI), Shasha, Iperu, Shagamu, Ogun State, from 3rd - 10th August, 2025. The program, themed “Building Bridges: Youth Action for Peace, Rights, and Sustainable Communities,” will bring together young Nigerians (ages 18–35) for hands-on community service, intercultural learning, and advocacy training—all at no cost to participants.
Event Highlights
• Free Participation: Selected volunteers will receive free accommodation, meals, and workcamp kits for the entire duration.
• Key Focus Areas:
1. Peace & Intercultural Dialogue: Workshops, storytelling circles, and collaborative art projects to foster unity.
2. Reactivating Volunteerism: Conversations around School renovations, skill-sharing sessions, and legacy projects.
3. Climate Justice & Environmental Protection: Discussion on Tree planting, waste management campaigns, and eco-advocacy training.
4. Community Empowerment: Rights-awareness campaigns, leadership training, and grassroots problem-solving.

o Keynote sessions with experts on peacebuilding and climate action.
o Cultural exchange nights showcasing Nigeria’s diversity.
