Having kids is synonymous with having laughter and warmth in the house. Children bring adventure into our lives and make us revisit our childhood every now and then.

Treat your kids like a darling for the first five years. For the next five years, scold them. By the time they turn sixteen, treat them like a friend. Your grown-up children are your best friends.

May Almighty Allah, secure our children, give them hope for the future , boldness and courage to face the challenges set before them, and become successful adults in future.

Nasfat LAGOS Island Branch Islamic Centre
has underscored the significance of mosque as a centre for the integration and advance of Islam and Muslim community in our milieu.

The Administration of the past and present Executives and Leaders of the abranch made the assertion to the general public for the Mosque Project that historically, mosque had played a significant role in the development of Islamic Culture and Education, adding that the first University to be established in the world started from a mosque.

This is to show us that mosque is not only where we converge and pray five daily prayers, but a mosque is supposed to be a centre of learning, centre for child upbringing, uniting Muslims and a centre for guidance and counseling.

Also, a mosque is a place where Muslims are taught good moral behavior and it is a place for economic development and so on.

We urge Muslim brethren to contribute their part for the completion of the Mosque which is situated at 34, Bankole Street, Apongbon, Lagos Island, Lagos.

We say Jazakhallahu khairan as we jointly raise it up at least to a more pedestrian stage above our expectation.

Glory be to the almighty Allah for successful 23rd NASFAT ANNUAL WOMENS WEEK 2022. Today mark the Grand Finales programme of the year 2022 at Agege stadium. From the stable of Women affairs committee headed by Women Leader, Alhaja Sherifat Ibrahim, we are using this mesium to thank you all for standing by the Committee to make the week a successful.

We will not be appreciative without mentioning the pillars of our supports, Nasfat Lagos island Branch chairman, Council of Elders and all members of the Committees and Executive Council for their unflincjing supports.

May Allah accept all your deeds as act of lbadah and reward you abundantly. We shall witness many more and more of it lnshaallahu.

You are a Mercy of the many manifestations of Allah's Mercy.

You are one of them. So many times we reflect on the prophet peace be upon him and the knowledge that he was sent as a mercy to humanity.
So too, have we been sent to follow his path and to be a mercy to those around us to ourselves, our families, our society and to the world.

Your purpose is so great because Allah does not spend time on trivialities. All things have a unique purpose and that purpose can enhance the world in which we live, when we live up to it. If we don't, it could bring destruction.

Ramadan gives us a chance to reflect on what is important, on our relationship with God and the ability to think about how we can enhance that relationship by being true to our purpose.

Indeed, Ramadan let us pray that our truth becomes clear to us and that we do not allow fear or ego to stop us from being the mercy to humanity we were destined to be.

May Almighty Allah accept all our ibaadah, Aameen.

ABOUT NASFAT ISLAND BRANCH

NASFAT is considered by many observers to be the fastest growing Islamic society in the world, yet it is most misunderstood of the world’s major faiths. Some misconceptions about NASFAT Lagos Island Branch stem from the calculated propaganda against NASFAT, but a good amount of it is attributed to the ignorance of many Muslims whose limited knowledge and practice of Islam perpetuates these misconceptions. Due to the deficiencies of the common, restricted way of teaching Islam to children, many Muslims grow up believing that NASFAT Lagos Island Branch requires only blind faith and invites no intellectual challenges. Often such Muslims manage with minimal knowledge of their faith until they interact with larger circles of people within their milieu, in higher learning institution or the workplace, where they were confronted with many misconceptions about NASFAT, and face questions they cannot answer. It is in response to the need for the establishment of NASFAT Lagos Island Branch of the society in 2001 with 15 members residing in Lagos Island to know their religion, and to share its beautiful message with wider programs coverage, that this crusade work was began. As Allah will have it, approval was granted by the then Alhaji AbdulRaman AbdulWahab led National Executive Council and the first inaugural Asalatu (Prayer Session) was conducted by Alhaji Issa Dhkidri Muh’Awwal as the pioneer missioner on the 3rd February, 2002 at Marina Car Park with about 450 members in attendance. Thereafter, the Branch formerly inaugurated on the 17th April, 2004 alongside its first Executive members with over 10,000 members which further prove the general acceptability of the society within Lagos Island and its environs.
