Most people won’t get into this field, not because it is hard, but because they don’t know the path.

As we gear up for the 6th Aviator Scholars Scholarship Contest commencing soon, we take a moment to look back at the 5th Scholarship Contest , the winners, the faces, and the stories that remind us why we started.

The winners were officially announced in December 2025, and since then, the journey has already begun. Some of these bright minds have started their classes, taking bold steps into the world of aviation and turning dreams into reality.

Dreams did not only take flight here, they found direction, purpose, and wings, one contest at a time.

And soon… the next chapter will be unveiled

Who is ready for the next takeoff?✈️

A lot of people don’t even know this role exists…

HLOs are the ones on ground making sure helicopters can land safely, not in airports, but on helipads, offshore, real environments. 🚁

They work with HDAs, manage the space, control the risk.

Small role? Not at all.

The HLO series has started. Follow to keep up tomorrow.

Most people know about September 11 attacks…

But very few know that something eerily similar almost happened 7 years earlier.

On December 24, 1994,
Air France Flight 8969 was hijacked by extremists with a plan that wasn’t just negotiation…

It was to turn the aircraft into a weapon
and crash it into the Eiffel Tower.

Let that sink in.

A fully loaded aircraft.
A global landmark.
Hundreds of lives.
A different version of history… that almost happened.

For 54 hours, passengers sat between life and death
until French special forces stormed the plane and stopped it.

173 people walked away alive.

Now here’s the question no one asks:

Why is this story not as widely known?

Is it because it was stopped?
Or because the world only remembers tragedies that succeed?

👇
Would history feel different if this had happened?

Aircraft use different external lights for visibility, safety, and communication during flight and ground operations:
• Logo Lights
On the tail/wingtips — light up the airline logo for night identification.
• ALLS (Alternating Landing Lights)
Front of aircraft — pulse/flash to increase visibility and attract attention during approach or taxi.
• Wing Inspection Lights
Illuminate wings — help pilots check for ice/damage and improve visibility at night.
• Landing Lights
On gear/fuselage/wings — very bright lights used for takeoff/landing to illuminate the runway.
• Anti-Collision Lights (White/Strobes)
Wingtips/tail — flashing white lights that make the aircraft highly visible in flight.
• Anti-Collision Lights (Red/Beacon)
Top & bottom — flashing red light indicating engines are running or aircraft is moving.
• Position (Navigation) Lights
Left: Red | Right: Green | Rear: White — show aircraft direction and orientation to others.
• Taxi & Runway Turnoff Lights
Used on ground — less intense than landing lights, help pilots navigate taxiways and exits.

Every light has one job—see, be seen, and stay safe.
