Topic: The gift of work (Part 3)

Text: James 2:14-16 (NKJV)

"What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, "Depart in peace, be warmed and filled," but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, "You have faith, and I have works." Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe--and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?"

Calvary greetings in the name of the Lord and Good morning!

So far we have learnt that
• Truth has a way of making you robust in the spirit and differentiate you amongst your contemporary.
• Beware of pride as you grow in truth.
• One of the things you must keep working on is your value system.
• Work is a gift and not a curse

We have a lazy generation who wants everything but wants to do nothing. Some believer think they can substitute work for prayer so all they do is pray.

A proof that you believe in your prayer and want to be successful is shown in the amount of work you put into what you are doing whether it be your career, academic or marriage.

There is a work-ability that is attached to faith.

Prayer must be paired with work for it to have result.

When you work hard everybody wants to be your friend because the result of hardwork will show in your life whereas Failure is an orphan! Nobody wants to relate with failure

Confession: I have commensurate result for my hardwork

Text: Genesis 2:2-3 (NKJV)

"And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made."

Calvary greetings in the name of the Lord and Happy new week!

So far we have learnt that
• Truth has a way of making you robust in the spirit and differentiate you amongst your contemporary.
• Beware of pride as you grow in truth.
• One of the things you must keep working on is your value system.

In this season, It is important you know the things that brings distraction into your life and guard against it.

Work is a gift and not a curse!

"There are only two ways to live your life; one is as though nothing is a miracle, the other is as if everything is". Living this way help you to live effectively and result oriented.

A host of believer live waiting for miracles. They pray, fast and in their mind imagine that an angel will bring manna from heaven or somehow their desire would be delivered to them suddenly while they do nothing.

"Doing nothing is the most tiring job in the world because you cannot stop and rest."

If you claim you are a child of God and your life is laced with unfinished work, you are not displaying God in your life. God ended the work he started before taking a break.

Work in Physics is defined as "when energy is expended". Work involves energy!

Confession: I display God always. I do and finish all the work that i start

Text: Proverbs.17:27 (NKJV)

He who has knowledge spares his words, And a man of understanding is of a calm spirit."

Calvary greetings in the name of the Lord and Good Morning!

"A little here, a little there is what makes for fullness"

Truth has a way of making you robust in the spirit and differentiate you amongst your contemporary.

You are able to display superior wisdom amongst people around you, when you understand and embrace truth.

However, beware of pride as you grow in truth. The more you know the more you are likely to be puffed up by what you know

A sign of maturity is that when you come around people who don't know as much as you, you understand *it is because they don't know" rather than "look down on them"

A sign of spiritual maturity is that you can contain people's weaknesses. You know when to speak and when to keep silent.

One of the things you must keep working on is your value system. This generation had been bedeviled by wrong values that makes them consider accurate value systems as being unfair.

In this study, we will be looking at one pivotal value to success; the gift of work.

Confession: I consciously keep my heart from pride as I grow in truth

Text: John 5:17 (NKJV)

But Jesus answered them, "My Father has been working until now, and I have been working."

Calvary greetings in the name of the Lord and Good Afternoon!

What we've learnt so far:

• The word hardwork is defined as "_ to constantly, regularly, or habitually engage in earnest and energetic work"_ it is synonymous with diligence or being industrious.
• Some people think that work is a curse which is a result of the fall of man but this is not so, man was given work by God even before he fell
• Great men and countries enshrines the doctrine of hardwork into their fabric.
• God was a hardworker. He worked six whole days before taking a break on the seventh day.
• We cannot achieve much in destiny without the spirit of diligence.
• Prayer without work is inaction
• Work is God's platform for blessing. (Proverb 22:29)
• There is a time to work!
• When a work is not done when it ought to be done, more work is incurred
• God is limited by the work you have done.
• Hardwork is a seed that you will reap later in life
• This is the time to engage in hardwork pursuit of destiny.

All over the scriptures, hardwork is clearly displayed for us to learn:

1. God – Our heavenly father clearly is not lazy. He created the world in six days before taking a day to rest. This shows a level of diligence like never seen before.
2. Jesus - Jesus displayed a level of commitment that is uncommon so much that he described work as food (John 4:32-34; 9:4).
3. Patriarch of Faith:

• Abraham (Gen 13:2, 14:14): He showed bravery stepping out of his father’s house at 75 years old and became rich by Hardwork despite having received the blessing of the Lord. Abraham couldn't have trained 318 people in house if he was lazy.
• Isaac (Gen 26:12-14): He Sowed in famine which must have required hard work.
• Jacob (Gen 30:26; 31:38): He worked for 20years for two wives and cattles.

So many of the fathers of faith were tireless worker.

Many believers today have turned back at the edge of breaking through out of laziness.

You must be tenacious saying to yourself "I won't give up until I get it"

Confession: I am diligent and tenacious. I keep pressing till I get my reward

It is good for a man to bear The yoke in his youth."

Calvary greetings in the name of the Lord and Good Morning!

What we've learnt so far:

• The word hardwork is defined as "_ to constantly, regularly, or habitually engage in earnest and energetic work"_ it is synonymous with diligence or being industrious.

• Work is God's platform for blessing.

There is a time to work!!!!

_When a work is not done when it ought to be done, more work is incurred_. When you do not read when you ought to read, you will have to do a crash course and will likely not attain the same level of success in an examination.

God is limited by the work you have done.

Hardwork is a seed that you will reap later in life. When a man is supposed to work and he is playing, he will reap it in the night.

*There are two types of future for every man:
Future Weeping or Future Joy

To experience future joy is a function of the work done in the morning of one's life.

This is the time to engage hardwork in the pursuit of destiny.

There is a wealth in your generation and to access it, you must be hardworking.

Confession: I am diligent in the pursuit of destiny. My future is joyous!

Text: Genesis 2:2 (NKJV)

Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made."

Calvary greetings in the name of the Lord and Good Morning!

We began the journey on hardwork yesterday and have learnt that:

• The word hardwork is defined as "_ to constantly, regularly, or habitually engage in earnest and energetic work"_ it is synonymous with diligence or being industrious.
• Some people think that work is a curse which is a result of the fall of man but this is not so, man was given work by God even before he fell
• Great men and countries enshrines the doctrine of hardwork into their fabric.*

God was a hard-worker. He worked six whole days before taking a break on the seventh day.

The gold in the garden of Eden needed to be dugged out, the produce of the land needed to be processed hence Adam was given the mandate to "tend and keep the garden".

We cannot achieve much in destiny without the spirit of diligence.

The reason some unbeliever are succeeding more than believers is that they (the unbelievers) are sowing more work while all the believer is doing is prayer.

Prayer without work is inaction.

The proof that you believe in your prayer is that you are working.

Work is God's platform for blessing. (Proverb 22:29)

Hardwork brings excellence into manifestation.: Inventions and creativity are the products of hardwork
Hardwork procures favour for you in the marketplace.

Confession: I am a diligent worker therefore I am favoured always

Text: Genesis 26:12-14 (NKJV)

Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the LORD blessed him. The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous; for he had possessions of flocks and possessions of herds and a great number of servants. So the Philistines envied him."

Calvary greetings in the name of the Lord and Happy new week!

A lot of believer love to hear prophecy, receive laying on of hands but do not have result because they are not doing anything about what they have heard.

Many have given themselves to laziness. They have not given themselves to working (hardwork) which is what will give them success in life.

The word hardwork is defined as "to constantly, regularly, or habitually engage in earnest and energetic work". It is synonymous with diligence or being industrious.

From observation over time, I have concluded that "Family that have strong work ethics never struggle to get things done”.

Some people think that work is a curse which is a result of the fall of man but this is not so, man was given work by God even before he fell - "_Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it."_ (Genesis 2:15 MSG).

Great men and countries enshrines the doctrine of hardwork into their fabric. which is what makes them the envy of nations all over the world.

Confession: I am not slothful! I give myself to diligent work

Topic: Seeing the big picture (Part 7)

Text: Exodus 19:5-6 (NKJV)

Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine. And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel."

Calvary greetings in the name of the Lord and good Afternoon!

So far we have learnt that:
* Every initial obedience to the Lord’s instruction usually commands abundance and progression in a man’s life but beyond this success, there is something bigger that God wants every man to see.

* A Picture is “an impression of something formed from a description” and the picture formed in your spirit by the word of God is what is revelation.
A leader is someone who has seen the big picture and invites others to join in
The manifestation of the big picture requires others hence you have to care about people

* A man can be in a phase of his life (attained a level of success) and not be in the big picture

* It does not matter how much a man has or earns, if his mind is poor, his destiny will be poor.

* There is the wisdom of liberality that releases more in the hand of a man

* Words spoken over you are garments in the spiritual realm.

* Our priesthood is not a call to passivity but a call to engagement in scriptural confession of who we are in Christ.

Christianity is not in the four walls of our churches.

We go to church to service our priesthood so we can go out into the word to display our Kingship.

As king, you are an influencer, a decision maker however your power is derives from your priesthood. You cannot be lazy because kings are hardworking people.

As a priest you cannot just do anything you like even in the midst of pressure. Your words and actions must be deliberate.

• As a priest, you are an intercessor: You are to carry people and issue into the presence of the Lord. You are concerned enough about people to take their issues to the Lord.

• A priest is a worshipper: He stands before the Lord to worship him

• A priest is a custodian of doctrine: He helps others to know the difference between right and wrong, holy and unholy.

Confession: I function as a priest and king in my territory!
