Death is not a question of if
it is only a question of when
It is the one certainty that does not seek our permission,
the visitor that does not announce itself,
the reality every soul will taste, whether prepared or not.
كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَائِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ
Tonight, in place of our regular Dhikrul-Mawt session, we share this powerful and heart-awakening reminder by Shaykh Ahmed Sulaiman Khatani— a reminder that strips away comfort, silences excuses, and confronts the soul with its final destination.
Death is not merely the stopping of breath.
It is the moment the book of deeds is closed.
The moment repentance ends.
The moment titles, wealth, status, and followers lose all meaning.
The grave does not ask who you were in the eyes of people —
it asks who you were in the sight of Allah.
This reminder is not for background listening.
It is for hearts that still feel.
For souls that still hope to return.
For those who understand that delayed repentance is a dangerous illusion.
If this message unsettles you, then it has done its job.
If it brings tears, then thank Allah for a heart that still lives.
And if it awakens fear, let that fear push you back to Allah before you are returned to Him.
«أَكْثِرُوا ذِكْرَ هَادِمِ اللَّذَّاتِ»
“Increase in remembrance of the destroyer of pleasures (death).”
Watch. Reflect. Repent. Prepare.
For the journey is closer than we think.
May Allah soften our hearts before they are sealed. May He grant us all Jannatul Firdaus.
