Fellowship Beyond Borders: District 9103 Visits District 9112

On September 10th, 2025, Rotarians and Rotaractors from District 9103, Cotonou, Benin were warmly hosted at the District 9112 Rotary Centre.

The distinguished visitors included:
* Rtn. Marie Camille Adjagba Hessou, Rotary Club of Cotonou Le Nautile
* Rtr. Fructueux Hessou, Rotaract Club of Cotonou Le Nautile
* Rtr. Babajide Venance Afouda, Rotaract Club of Cotonou Airport

They were received by the District 9112 leadership team: DRR Atitebi Ismail Abiodun, DRRE Michael Ekerin, District Secretary Omobusola Mustafa, and Membership Director Rtr. Lawal Muhammed.

Together, the group toured the Rotary Centre, reflected on the legacy of Rtn. Jonathan Majiyagbe, the first African RI President, and shared fellowship with DGE Rtn. Layi Abidoye and his team.

The visit reaffirmed a beautiful truth—in Rotary, there are no strangers, only friends yet to be met. Discussions also included potential collaborations ahead of the upcoming Rotaract Africa Summit and strategies for partnering to reach underserved communities across both districts.

Rotaract District 9112 looks forward to strengthening these bonds and continuing to uphold the values of Rotary and Rotaract across borders.

OCTOBER – ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT MONTH

Dear Partners in Service,

Happy Independence Day, Nigeria!

From all of us at Rotaract District 9112, we celebrate the enduring spirit of freedom, resilience, and unity that defines our nation. Today, we honour the sacrifices of our heroes and remind ourselves of our shared duty: to build a Nigeria of peace, progress, and opportunities for every citizen.

Each month in Rotary carries a unique theme, but October strikes at the very foundation of human dignity — the right of every individual not just to survive, but to thrive. Economic and Community Development Month calls us to think beyond temporary charity and embrace projects that leave a lasting impact. Every initiative that uplifts a market woman, empowers a young person, or revitalises a community is more than service — it is an investment in a better tomorrow.
