Setting up digital learning spaces in schools is not about chasing a tech fad. With an almost 200,000 teacher deficit at the basic education level and even fewer teachers willing or available to work in remote communities we cannot educate the different categories of the 18.3 million children out of school without deploying technology support at scale.

That is why we are setting up multimedia learning spaces in remote communities without internet or electricity, giving children access to recorded lessons based on the Nigerian basic education curriculum.

To change the face of education, we must provide safe and dignifying learning spaces where children can learn. We built this school block to meet this need but Nigeria needs 1,107,854 more classrooms to adequately accommodate both current students and out-of-school children. This is why scaling this intervention is a national urgency.

We opened a new school block with a digital learning space at Abẹgẹdẹ. It's a new chapter in our mission to take education to the last mile for out-of-school children in hard-to-reach communities.

This brings us great joy as hope rises for hundreds of children cut off from schooling on the other side of the lagoon. We thank our partners, , and the kind individuals who gave generously and anonymously to create a better future.

It was an absolute joy welcoming our friends from to our Bogije centre today!

​Beyond the tour of our space, the games, and the uplifting moments of worship and prayer, today was a beautiful reminder of what true partnership feels like. We are so grateful for their consistent kindness over the years and excited about the miles we will still walk together to empower children.

Abegede has a rhythm of its own. Since our very first intervention in this riverine community, the goal has been to listen, observe, and support children in this community and neighbouring communities.

Presently, we see a solid structure of community support that has only grown stronger over the years, and it is this foundation that keeps our mission to the children moving forward.
