In every society, women are the centre of development while children are the future of the society. This is a clear indication that any society where they are neglected, abandoned and their values are not recognized, is bound to have a stagnated development. Children are also affected by many societal ills for which women are most vulnerable. They are physically and mentally immature. Therefore, require appropriate care and protection before and after birth. The cliché “children are leaders of tomorrow” has also made it a necessity for them to be nurtured and assisted to develop into responsible and productive adults. The major part of these responsibilities rest solely on women in the society and this makes them inseparable. Therefore, investing in women means investing in children as it is an investment into the future of any country. When children are happy, constituents are happy, the environment is happy and consequently everybody benefits.
