*African Humanitarian Fair Marks One Year of Impact*
The African Humanitarian Fair, the first humanitarian fair on the African continent, has marked its one-year anniversary, reflecting on its historic event held on Friday, 24th January 2025, at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
Convened by Samuel Akinyemi and promoted by Elgee Info Media, the one-day Fair brought together non-governmental organizations from across Africa and various parts of Nigeria, creating a unique platform for direct humanitarian action, collaboration, and community impact.
NGOs that participated in the Fair travelled from different parts of the continent to Lagos with humanitarian materials and services, intentionally exchanging love for compassion among diverse categories of vulnerable people. Beneficiaries received free food items, clothing, wheelchairs, packs of food, school books, sanitary pads for girls, medical equipment and drugs, free eyeglasses, as well as opportunities for art training and music scholarships, among several other interventions.
The Fair directly touched the lives of children, women, the elderly, and persons living with disabilities, reinforcing African solidarity and the shared responsibility of caring for the most vulnerable within society.
As a way of giving credit and encouragement, special appreciation is extended to the participating institutions, NGOs, and individuals whose support and commitment made the Fair a success:
