The Day We Were Almost Thrown Out—And Why It Changed Everything For Us.
They watched us from the control room.
They whispered into their walkie-talkies.
They alerted security.
By the time we took our first step into Ikeja City Mall, we were already being watched.
We didn’t come to steal.
We didn’t come to cause trouble.
We came with one simple mission, to raise awareness and funds for sickle cell warriors, the real fighters who battle pain, crisis, and uncertainty every single day.
But the moment we arrived, it was like a full-blown security emergency.
We were stopped before we could even sing a note.
In seconds, we found ourselves in the control room.
Then the management room.
The answer was clear: "No. We don’t allow this here."
At that moment, we had two choices:
Walk away defeated, like every other attempt that had failed before.
Take a stand—because the people we are fighting for don’t have the luxury of giving up.
So, we stood our ground.
For over an hour, we pleaded, explained, and pushed forward. Then something shifted.
From "We don’t allow this here" to "We’ll give you 30 minutes or more."
From being stopped at the entrance to being escorted like VIPs to the center of the mall.
And in that moment, the impossible happened.
We sang.
We raised awareness.
We touched lives.
It was proof that when you fight for something bigger than yourself, doors—sometimes locked ones—will eventually open.
But here’s the real truth: sickle cell warriors don’t have the time to wait too long for locked doors to open.
They are fighting battles the world doesn’t always see—excruciating pain that keeps them up at night, expensive treatments that drain their families, and a society that often misunderstands their struggle.
And that’s why we are hosting our upcoming Easter Project: “From Struggle to Strength.”
This isn’t just another event.
This is about equipping warriors with the one thing that can change their lives forever—the right mindset to thrive beyond sickle cell.
Because the mind is where every battle is won or lost.
So on Saturday, April 19, 2025, we will be gathering warriors, medical experts, and inspirational voices to provide:
✅ Medical Assistance – Because no warrior should suffer due to lack of treatment.
✅ Mindset & Resilience Training – Because pain is inevitable, but suffering doesn’t have to be.
✅ Fun, Food & Community – Because healing isn’t just physical; it’s emotional too.
Yes, we know that change doesn’t happen overnight.
We know that true impact takes a community.
And we also know that people like you (who understand what it means to fight for something bigger than themselves) are the reason movements like this don’t just survive, but thrive.
Because the truth is, we can't do this alone.
We’ve seen what happens when people step up—doors open, lives change, and hope is restored.
To make this event a reality, a sum of N2.7m is needed.
This is why we invite you to be a part of this story with your kind support.

You support could be the reason a struggling sickle cell warrior gets the help they need.
This isn’t just about charity. This is about humanity and empathy for those who have fought long enough.
We hope you'll join in helping them win.
