WIRE-A President, Dr. (Mrs.) Anita Nana Okuribido, and I had the privilege of attending the African Venture Philanthropy Alliance (AVPA) In-Person Stakeholder Validation Workshop, organised in collaboration with Private Equity Support and enAble Advisors at the Radisson Blu Anchorage, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Workshop Title: NGO Transitions to Sustainable, Investment-Ready Social Ventures in Africa – In-Person Stakeholder Validation Workshop

Theme: Validating Research Findings and Shaping the Future of NGO Sustainability.

The workshop brought together a carefully selected group of NGO leaders, funders, intermediaries, policymakers and corporate partners. Participation was strictly by invitation, making the discussions even more focused and impactful.

It was a valuable opportunity to learn, exchange ideas and build meaningful connections. The breakout sessions, in particular, provided practical insights into strengthening the sustainability and investment readiness of social ventures across Africa.

And on a lighter note, the hospitality was excellent—the food was absolutely delicious!
