We had a wholesome conversation on starting before you feel ready, and it was a pleasure to host Chiamara Anyacho, who challenged us to stop waiting for the perfect moment and start taking action.

From fear and self-doubt to comparison and perfectionism, the conversation explored the barriers that keep many people stuck, and the courage required to move forward anyway.

As we were reminded:

WORLD MENSTRUAL HYGIENE DAY – MAY 28TH
Every Day Matters.

Period or Menstruation is natural, normal, and powerful — yet millions of girls and women still face shame, stigma, lack of access to sanitary products, and poor menstrual education every single day.

This World Menstrual Hygiene Day, let’s move beyond whispers and silence. Let’s educate, empower, and create real change in our communities.

A period should never stop a girl from going to school.
It should never reduce her confidence or make her feel ashamed.

It should never limit her dreams.
Many young girls in Nigeria still struggle to afford sanitary products or get the right information about menstrual hygiene.

Some miss classes, avoid social activities, or suffer in silence because society still treats menstruation like a taboo topic.

But change starts with conversations.
Change starts with awareness.
Change starts with us.
No be shameful thing if woman dey see her period. Na natural part of life.

*Make we stop the stigma and support our girls with correct information and proper care.*
*Every girl deserves to feel safe, confident, and respected during her period.*

Today, we stand together to:
• Break the silence
• End period stigma
• Promote menstrual education
• Ensure access to safe hygiene products
