Before marriage, we all thought that once the knots are tied, this life go sweet die. Only you with your man/woman, enjoying, partying, shopping, doing somersaults anyhow, this, that, yen yen yen😂... Akụkọ🤣

Most of us didn't consider the pressures that would come from home keeping, financial pressure on the family, stress from inlaws, friends, coping with the demands of our jobs while securing the home front, etc.

We didn't even think that a time would come when little discussions could result to very big quarrels, and you could actually keep malice with your partner, and say to hell with him/her.

We thought having s*x everyday would just be fun since we've gotten the licence to be weird, we never imagined that we would one day be forming tayad in the oza room😀.

We thought everything would just go as planned and we will live happily ever after, never did we imagine the frustrations, the heartbreaks, the regrets, the hurtful words and actions that would one day come from our heartthrob intentionally or otherwise.

Most of us thought love texting is fun and would never cease, but here we are, sending list of things to buy, issues to be resolved, school fees, utility bills, etc 😂😂most times even forgetting to add love you at the end of the messages.

What about pillow talks, 😀. We enjoyed lots of it during courtship, discussing the future, totoring each other, giglling throughout the night, and all... We thought marriage would bring out the PhD of that aspect... 😂😂. Little did we know that sometimes we would sleep off on the couch even without having our night bath. Pillow talks haff advanced to kitchen/on-the-way-out talk😀

As you're coming out from one challenge, you're faced with another. It's like a loop, we keep going round and never getting to the end.

These things are overwhelming to a lot of people, you see wonderful sweet women becoming something else, the men most times start looking for outdoor activities, some, see themselves as stuck with each other and just continue to manage and hope for a better tomorrow, while the impatient ones seek ways and excuses to return to spinsterhood/bachelorhood. 🤷‍♀️

It takes a lot to make this thing called marriage work. If you've not been there you won't understand any of those☝️.

So the next time you see couples celebrating their marriage anniversary, rejoice with them, cos what they celebrate is beyond the beautiful appearances they put up and the fine pictures you see on social media.

Every marriage anniversary is worth celebrating, don't wait until you're 25years in marriage.

Kudos to all men and women who despite the many challenges are still keeping up with the love they saw and believed in, may God continue to strengthen your home and give you double success for every effort you make, Amen.

The love of money is a decision or desire to pursue wealth for personal consumption and luxury. The love of money can be either a deliberate decisthat hasn’t been carefully thought through.

In either case, the person has a goal in life to make a lot of money so that he can enjoy life in style. The goal may stem from a lack of contentment, which in turn may be due to not having the purpose of godliness or the perspective of eternity.

-It may stem from “the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the boastful pride of life” (1 John 2:16), which tempt us all. But the love of money is an aim, a goal, a focus.

-Love of money can be a goal that sometimes is a deliberate choice, and sometimes just a strong inner longing to be rich. It stands in opposition to the contented Christian whose aim is godliness because his focus is on eternity, not on this fleeting world.

Often this desire for wealth stems from pride. The person is seeking the affirmation and status that wealth brings. He needs to prove to himself and others that he really is somebody, and one way to do that is to make a lot of money, live in luxury, and impress people.

In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said, “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money” (Matthew 6:24).

- Here, Jesus likens a “love of money” to idolatry. He refers to money as a “master” we serve at the expense of serving God. We are commanded by God to have “no other gods” before the only true and living God (Exodus 20:3; the first commandment).

Anything that takes first place in our lives other than our Creator God is an idol and makes us guilty of breaking the first commandment.

Jesus had much to say about wealth. His most memorable conversation about money is His encounter with the rich young ruler (Matthew 19:16–30). The young man asks Jesus what he must do to obtain eternal life, and Jesus tells him to follow the commandments.

When the man tells Jesus that he has done all that, Jesus tests his ability to obey the first commandment and tells him to sell all his possessions and give it to the poor and to follow Him. The young man couldn’t do this; his wealth had become an idol, it was his master!

For the love of money is the root of all evil; which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 1TIM 6:10, is it bad to make money ??, No, it isn’t, At the same time, the Bible cautions against making money the focus of life. It says: “Let your way of life be free of the love of money, while you are content with the present things.” (Hebrews 13:5) The lesson is to keep money in its place and not pursue wealth. Instead, we should aim to be content with the things we really need, such as food, clothing, and shelter.—1 Timothy 6:8.

A word is enough for the wise, the church was solemn, please let’s stretch forth our hands upon Rotimi and declare peace and mercy upon him.

After service , Rotimi did nit stand of from his sit, he kept his head on the next chair with a paper in his hands, thank you for mercy and the peace, till we meet again.

He died, tears dropped from my eyes, my wife really cried, the joy we had was he died at the feet of Jesus, we buried him instantly.

When I got to the church tears dropped from my house, let me take you to daddy and mummy, Sola said, their house is over there, he pointed to the beautiful mansion opposite the church building .

He knocked and it was mama sees lastborn Grace that opened the door, they were all set to leave for church, what’s smelling my mom asked, mom it’s me, that was when she recognized me, it was my voice, Rotimi, Jesus, Pastor , she called my dad out.

And I held both of them leg, please forgive me, I know I don’t have time again, but please that I may have oeace this last minute, I would love to tell the church my story, let them learn.

No wonder God said, I should not bother writing a message, Rotimi I hold no grudges against you and am happy you came back, just like the prodigal son, I am happy I said looking at my son with so much pity, Oluwarotimi my son, I have also forgiven you, My mum said.

Please take him to the bathroom and get good him a better apparel to wear, and let him join us in church.

When he entered the church venue, I could see him staring at the interiors and everything , most persons did not recognize him, so there was no noise or paparazzi. After the praise and worship session and all other programs for the service.

It was time for sermon, I mounted the pubit, church are you happy to be in his presence this morning and they screamed yes , I am the happiest, God has done something beautiful for my family today, today makes it , approximately 7years my son left the house and am glad to announce that he is back.

I felt God was wasting time, I felt God was slow and not everyone get blessed by him, I felt there were special people, my dad taught us that there is time and season for everything, but I was not patient to understand time and season.

I was lured by mammon, the love of money which the bible said is the root of all evil, when you love money more than God, the money becomes the god in your life, I was desperate to make it, I did not wait for God and the devil had scammed me of my glory.

I have lost count of the girls , I had an affair with, I am just 22 years, I slept with a mad woman not once, not twice, for nine month and she died while giving birth to twins, I used her unborn children for ritual.

I have friends who slept with animals just for money, some who used their mother or father, or loved one for rituals, some contacted diseases from this animals, they have the money with no enjoyment or rest of mind.

Spending heavily on sicknesses, I used a girl too, that girl is late now, I emptied her glory in two years, and anyone she got had a relationship became poor and their wealth are transferred to me automatically.

I used the church name to steal from a white man, I committed all sort of atrocities, but I lacked peace , I lacked joy, I can boldly tell you that the life outside Jesus Christ is death. The devil has collected more from me, I have been mad, I became homeless and poor, I have not slept soundly for 2 years now, and the worst of all, I started smelling.

I have failed God, I have failed my parents, I have failed the church of God, he said in tears, I am not worthy to be called a son again. He dropped the mic, and I continued from there, The desire for money will deceive and ultimately destroy you. Paul outlines a three step process: (1) The desire for money; (2) The deception of money; (3) The destruction caused by money.

There is a difference between money and the love of money.

- He is speaking of the love of money giving rise to something evil, the love of money causing something evil, So, when you love money something evil happens, something evil springs from that root, something evil grows and is nurtured by that love you have for money.

What he is saying here is that "all kinds of evil" is produced by the love of money. The love of money is the root of every imaginable kind of evil. The love of money is the root of all sorts of evil. No one can imagine what sorts of evil springs from the heart of someone who loves money.

You don’t know that men have killed for the love of money, that women have sold themselves into prostitution for the love of money, mothers and fathers sell their own children for the love of money.

Rotimi’s POV

I heard the news of sheila’s death, I knew I was in for trouble, I was suppose to be paying her monthly to sustain her, because her death is a problem to me, but the last two years has been hell for me.

I cried that day, and did not eat anything, by evening I started perceiving bad odours around me, I did not poo, what’s wrong, that was how I started stinking, Mike had to send some boys to throw me out of his house, because the odour was so bad and unpleasant to the nose.

I had nowhere to go, I was leaving on the street, people find it hard to give me money, because of the bad odour, coming from me, and I thought of my family that day, this scam of a thing is of no use, I did not for once have peace of mind with my money, it was one trouble or the other.

I thought of going back home, but I was too ashamed to face my father, I remembered all his warnings, his training, I remembered how much I have disappointed God and my parents and also my siblings.

I wish I never did this, suddenly a big car splashed dirty water from the rain on me, I looked at the driver from the mirror and saw m Jide, he pretended like he doesn’t know me, look at how everyone deserted me, I wanted to tell Ali the piece of my heart, if that would be the last thing I would do before dying.

Bikes where not stopping for me, because of this bad odour, so I had to trek to his place, it took me 3 days to get there , with heavy rains falling nonstop and when I got there I met him outside, thank God I met you devil, he wanted to run inside.

Guy it’s too late, you lead me astray, lured me with money, you knew never had peace , I was young naive and wanted a good life, you introduced me to diabolical things and all, you can never have peace, I said.

You will even die before me, I said , go and teach that boy a lesson, they covered their nose, battered me and threw me out of the estate , I was paralysed with no one to help me, i felt too dirty to call God, I just cried and prayed to die.

But I did not die , I survived a whole week with swollen legs and arms, it was the 7th day I heard, Ali slumped and died and I was shocked, just like that, he was healthy and I have been sick for a week and nothing.

I couldn’t walk, I was finally able to buy paracetamol and aboniki balm from one Aboki , that was what I used to massage my legs and I felt a bit better, I decided to go home, but when I got to the junction, I just felt somehow unworthy, so I turned back.

I couldn’t trek to where I was coming from, so I got a new spot, around 5:00am, there was this young man doing morning cry , it was a Sunday morning, his message got to me.

Go back to your first love, this morning God wants you and me to go back and remember that moment in time. And having that in our memory He wants us to return.

If you feel far from Christ and miss the days when you adored him, he calls you to come back in three words: Remember, Repent, Return

Remember your first love, remember how happy you were with him, the peace you enjoyed in him, the world has nothing to offer outside Jesus, with Jesus there is much to offer.

Repent from your sins before it is too late, God is faithful to forgive us all our iniquities, 1John1:9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Return, it is not too late, as long as you are alive, it doesn’t matter how long and how deep we have dwelled and stayed in sin and iniquities, God is ready to accept you, Isaiah 45:22-Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth;

When the bus came, I was allowed to sit in front, and when I got to the church, tears dropped my eyes, I could not even recognise the church anymore.

I gathered everyone in the house that morning and prayed , we prayed for Gods mercy upon Rotimi, but I still felt restless, I told my wife about the dream, i had a similar dream last night, he was shouting for help, but the more he shout, the more this demons draw him and punished him, She said.

I feel because God loves us, that is why he is showing us before it happens, look at when God wanted to destroy S***m and Gomorrah in the book of Genesis 18:17- the end, he pre-informed Abraham, it did not stop God from passing his judgment to them, yes Abraham tried persuading God, if there were 50 righteous and so… and God replied, and later showed lot and his household mercy.

But is there any righteousness left in him, that God can even look at and show him mercy, imagine how hurt we were when he defrauded the church account, we had issues with EFCC and the bank, thank God we reported the case instantly, what would have happened to the church of God. I said.

Hmmm, we still held our hands and prayed.

Ali Bensons POV

Finally it was time for Iya agbara aye to put to bed, she labored for 3 days,she told me to miss several concoctions for her, yet it wasn’t working, when she finally gave birth, the baby died.

She felt so bad, I tried consoling her and doing everything to make her happy, i have never been pregnant before and the one I finally had, died at birth, why can’t the gods show me mercy.

Apart from that, this child was suppose to be a living sacrifice for you, because you soiled the sacrifice with that Sheila girl and with this you and I are in big trouble, I will be demoted in the realm of the spirit and you will suffer hell, she said.

Ali pack your things and leave this place, never return back, you have caused so much pains to me, ever since we started waging war against that Rotimi of a boy, I am no longer with you, I am against you, she said .

Don’t say a word to me again, get out, she said authoritatively.

Sheila’s POV

I felt used and abandoned, after Roti
I broke up with me, I have never had a stable relationship, any man I date go broke, they become so poor, and they would just end up breaking up with me.

I had already sold all the things Rotimi bought for me, yet I can’t account for the money, I don’t know how I was spending it, i was so broke , so I decided to up my game. At least if I know get money, make I marry .

I got pregnant for one rich Alhaji and it became very worse, but that was his first child, for 25years of marriage, no woman had carried his baby, so he took me to his Muslim clerics, those one said, there is no remedy, the only remedy is he should relate with me from a distance, if he really wants a child.

I tried reaching out to Rotimi for help, but he had blocked me on all platforms, did this boy use
me or what, I called Ali, immediately he heard my voice, he ended the call and blocked my line

I became so depress, I decided to end my life, what is the lump of staying alive, there is no use, so I took sleeping poison, so I can sleep to death, no one will suspect anything.

I went to Iya agbara-aye’s place, Baba Osotedu is wanted in the coven, he as undone what the witches did and now has limited time to live, no one know the exact days he has left, but we know he will die soon, she said.

I don’t understand, I said to her, in this work we commune with spirit and we are also connected irrespective of one’s location, especially those that are very powerful and have achieved a lot, so whenever there is a big problem, we are summoned, I am not suppose to tell you.

The only reason I am permitted to tell you, is because we have a connection, she said smiling and looking at her protruding belly, hmmmm, what do we do now.

We will use his weapon against him, Are you sure Rotimi doesn’t have any herbalist again , of course i nodded positively, you don’t have to do anything, all you need to do is avoid him and leave the rest for me to do, we will connect him with an abominable sacrifice. If this works , mama I will stay here till you put to bed, I said.

Few days after, we heard baba Osotedu died, and I don’t know what happened in the middle, I just started hearing crazy things about Royimi, he started acting mad, he even came to my house, I told my security to inform him, I have travelled out of the country, as soon has his power house became in accessible , I knew that was the end for him.

I had to travel to Ilesha to fulfill my promise to Iya agbara-aye, she was 6 months gone already, seeing Rotimi’s downfall was my greatest joy, you don’t feel better or bigger than your boss.

I woke to a very strange dream about Rotimi, I saw darkness fighting darkness, i saw him loosing strength and becoming weak , I tried calling him, but he could not identify my voice, then I heard this scripture loudly in that same dream, John10:27-My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: [28] And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

You have been calling him for a while now and he cannot recognize your voice , he is no longer your sheep, a sheep recognizes the voice of their shepherd, he can no longer hear to follow , hence he shall be plucked out, i heard this immediately I jumped of from my sleep.

Lord please show him mercy, I have done that for so long, but his eyes i oh f understanding has been shut, I even allowed some certain things to happen, so he can make a rethink and come back home, but instead he refused.

This boy has broken my laws several time, but because of the love I have for you, I kept preserving him, he dishonored his parents, he stole with my name, he served mammon(another god), he killed, he did not love his neighbor, because if he did , he won’t destroy the destiny of young girls and so many.

2 Kings 21:14. I will cast off the remnant of my inheritance, and deliver them into the hand of their enemies. ...this is what I will do

Rotimi’s POV

I was so amazed and happy with the surprise party, my friends planned, like it meant a lot to me, since I left home, no one has ever celebrated me , back then my dad will buy chicken and tell my mom to cook fried rice or jollof rice for everyone to eat and then everyone will contribute money and then buy something for the me or anyone doing birthday , even if it is 100 naira, you must drop something.

It made me miss home and I felt so happy, we partied till night and exactly a week after my birthday , one of my friends dropped dead while walking on the road, Charles , the shock was too much, like what happened, how??, I had to talk to Sir Ali after a long time , we took Charles body back to his parents, his parents were averagely ok, and I for once wondered why he decided to do this .

After the burial, we left his family house, barely a month after, everybody went back to their normal life, though the vacuum was there, but life must continue, baba asked me to visit him , Rotimi I don’t have enough time again and I really want to give you this last charm to use , that will automatically lead you to the next sacrifice, try and come as soon as possible.

It is because you have been a good boy to me, that is why I am doing this, I had a party the next day, Boss Jide was getting married, a day after the wedding I took a public bus to osogbo, and when I got there, I met people crying outside.

Kilo sele (what happen) , I asked a man standing outside, Baba died this morning, which baba, I asked , Baba osotedu of course, what ??, how ??, what happened, I sat on the floor in tears, where will I start from, baba I cried painfully that day.

When I got back home, I needed a babe to cool my temper, so I told one of my clients to order this girl for me, I was drunk when she came in, the next morning, I woke up to see Funke sleeping beside me, you, I screamed, baba asked me ever to have anything to do with her again, I am finished, who do I call?

I called Boss Jide, to ask if he has anyone I can meet to help, but he wasn’t picking, I guess honey moon, I ran to my powerhouse not knowing what to do, my money was still intact, so I kind of calm down.

From that day, I started having bad night mares, I would see myself making love with a dead mad woman in my dream, spirit chasing me or being soaked in a pool of blood , I called Boss Ali, but it seems he has blocked me.

I went to his house and found out, he is not in Nigeria currently, who will I run too, everything was happening fast, within a month,my account frozen, my power house became inaccessible, worms were coming out from the decayed placenta.

In less than 3 month, it got so worse that when I am eating, I would scream and shout that I was seeing strange things , I was the only one seeing it and by the end of the year, I became so broke, then Timi and Mike left my house, because they had a big hit and finally got an apartment of their own.

I was left with few friends and some newbies, some of my properties got burnt, it was even that time bit coin crashed, it was really bad for me, I was almost mad, the few persons around me rushed me to a psychiatric hospital, well I was hospitalized for a year and when I came back with no changes, all my properties has been sold by my friends.

I was without a penny, I had to start begging people , please let me stay with you Timi, you know I got married just last month, me and wife agreed no visitor for a year, he said turning me down.

It was Mike that later allowed me, but only on a condition I stay in the gatemans apartment and as well be the gate man, I felt really bad but I had no choice, this where persons I treated like my own when I had everything, I fed them, clothes them, paid their bills and even placed on allowance.

I saw the other side of life within 2 years, it happened so fast , that I looked like I have ne had money all my life.

I knew his trusted friends and I invited them over for a lunch at my place, guys how far now, how has the business been for the past 4years, I asked them.

Big boss it has not been easy, I picked only once and since then no big hit again, Mike said, at least you picked once, I have never, Tobi said, boss I have been picking but compared to you, Boss Jide, Rotimi, that is not money, for the past four years, if you sum up all my money, it’s not up to 5 million, Charles said.

That is why I have called you people here, don’t you think Rotimi is using you people glory, why does he not want to help you or introduce you to his powers, I said and paused, boss I have asked him severally, but he said it’s only Baba , he knows, Timi said.

Do you believe him, I asked them and all of them nodded , no boss , is it not the same baba I use, is it not the same baba you use, how come it’s not working for you, hmmmmm, boss you have a point , Charles said.

He wants to enslave, he feeds you, clothes you, dones literally everything for you without asking for a refund, because he doesn’t believe you guys can make it, I added. I feel he is just a nice person, Tobi said defending him, keep deceiving yourselves, Ali said

So boss what should we do, Mike asked, we won’t fight him, he is our friend, we will keep being good to him, then let’s plan a surprise birthday for him , his birthday is in three month right, I asked and they said yes.

Boss I don’t get, we should do surprise birthday for someone who we feel is hindering our progress, who do we want to impress, Charles said, your body too dey hot, calm down , I said.

There is this test, we would use on him, one of you will touch him with it on his birthday and bring it back to me, if he is doing evil against any of us, he will face the consequences, but he won’t die, I said and they all agreed.

This should be a secret, and make sure he doesn’t know you people are talking to me, i said while escorting them out of my house. I updated Iya agbara aye, that is a nice move, she said, so how is the baby kicking, I asked.

He is fine, there is something I will tell you, when you visit next, it is not what we can say on phone, she said. Ok I replied her and we ended the conversation.

So plans started, we started planning the surprise at a private lounge, and I was not going in my car, I was using Uber, to avoid any suspicion, that boy cannot be trusted.

Finally the day was here, I did not attend , the boys did, they partied, we thought of what to buy for him but couldn’t get one, so we ordered a designer from New York specially for him, the party was loud.

Different girls from all over came exposing their bodies, dancing and partying, hooking up with big boys, while he was dancing, Charles touched him with the jazz that Iya agbara aye , the party ended and he Charles returned it to me, I was so happy.

That night I entered a bus to Ilesha to give it to her, as instructed but before presenting it to her, it turned to blood, ah ewo (abomination), she screamed , and she instantly sent me out, get out of this place, she said.

I can’t leave , I can’t, I have come to spend time with you and my unborn baby, I insisted, I said leave , mama ema binu (don’t be angry) , what is wrong, this thing has been soiled, a menstruating lady has touched it before it was used and this charm has been rendered powerless, the person who used it on him, will die in 7 days mysteriously, she said.

I felt so bad, but you did not say this before, have you not been doing juju (charm) for a long time to know that some certain unclean things shouldn’t touch it, there is no remedy to this. You can go now, she said.

7 days after, Charles dropped dead on the road while going out to buy something, everyone was sad, we buried him instantly.
