The Bible is otherwise known as the manual for living. So, what's a manual?
A manual is a document prepared by the manufacturer and sent with a product. It contained both the features and modus operandi of a product for effective usage.
From the above definition, it could be deduced why the Bible is referred to as a manual.
We, being God's products - Genesis 1:27. Then, it becomes paramount that we should consult the life manual for us to live effectively.
In light of the above facts, I'll be sharing with you in the next couple of articles some responses you ought to respond with to issues of life according to the manual for living.
Let's get started with James 5:13a NLT.
" Are any of you suffering hardships?
You should pray."
As simple as the above instruction may be, that is the manufacturer's (God) recommendation to his product (You).
The manual says that if you’re experiencing any sort of affliction, trouble, or problem, your response should be to pray.
James 1:2 affirmed this recommendation " My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials."
Dear friend, probably you’re currently in one sort of distress or another, this is not the time to be moody, complaining or worrying, the manual says to pray. Prayer within this context was explained to us in Philippians 4:6 - "by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God."
So, in the time of life's troubles, you're enjoined to PRAY. That's the manufacturer's recommendation. Don't snub wisdom - Proverbs 9:12
