The Bible is otherwise known as the manual for living. So, what's a manual?

A manual is a document prepared by the manufacturer and sent with a product. It contained both the features and modus operandi of a product for effective usage.

From the above definition, it could be deduced why the Bible is referred to as a manual.
We, being God's products - Genesis 1:27. Then, it becomes paramount that we should consult the life manual for us to live effectively.

In light of the above facts, I'll be sharing with you in the next couple of articles some responses you ought to respond with to issues of life according to the manual for living.

Let's get started with James 5:13a NLT.

" Are any of you suffering hardships?
You should pray."

As simple as the above instruction may be, that is the manufacturer's (God) recommendation to his product (You).
The manual says that if you’re experiencing any sort of affliction, trouble, or problem, your response should be to pray.

James 1:2 affirmed this recommendation " My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials."

Dear friend, probably you’re currently in one sort of distress or another, this is not the time to be moody, complaining or worrying, the manual says to pray. Prayer within this context was explained to us in Philippians 4:6 - "by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God."

So, in the time of life's troubles, you're enjoined to PRAY. That's the manufacturer's recommendation. Don't snub wisdom - Proverbs 9:12

LET GOD BE TRUE: Reawakening Your Priority For Effective Living.

Romans 3:4 .... Let God be true but every man a liar.
This verse talks about why you should prioritise divine opinions above the wisdom of men - experts, philosophers, thought-leaders, whose opinions usually end up as nought.

They know in bits as such their opinions are fickle and unstable. Always needs improvement.

Learn how to establish the divine wisdom as supremacy over your life and affairs in this teaching - Let God Be True.

The knowledge of priorities exists because of the concept of options. When there are no alternatives, priortization is unnecessary. The truth then is that th...

In All Things; Give Thanks.

Text: No matter what happens, always be thankful. For this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 TLB.

The Bible is first and foremost akin to the constitution of the kingdom of God to which we belong as believers.

Remember that when you received the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and saviour, the Bible narrated what happened at that instance, though you may look the same outwardly, but among other spiritual occurrences that happened when you became born again is that “You were translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of God’s dear son.”~ Colossians 1:3.

Therefore, in this new kingdom that you belong to, the Bible is our constitution as well as our manual for effective living. Just like the citizens of every nation have their constitutional rights and responsibilities. Equally, it is so in God’s kingdom. Among other responsibilities expected of you was slated in our opening scripture, it says “No matter what happens, always be thankful.”

Now, one of the characteristics of laws is that it’s mandatory. You don’t choose the one to obey and the one not to obey. That explains the sacrosanct of the term known as “The rule of law in politics.” This talks about the supremacy of the laws. The same thing is applicable in our kingdom. The word of God is our final arbiter. We live by its dictates irrespective of our feelings.

According to 2 Corinthians 5:7, the Bible says, “We live by faith, not by sight (feelings)” Faith within this context connotes the fact that we live by faith in what the word of God says and not by our feelings.

This, in essence, means when the constitution of our kingdom says, “No matter what happens, always be thankful.” Then, irrespective of how I feel, I choose to be thankful according to the dictates of the word of God.

This was the response of Job in the midst of his crises he said, “Though he slay me, yet will I trust him. I’ll maintain my own way before him.” In other words, he was saying that he’ll remain thankful even in the midst of his turbulence.
The same instruction is coming to you today. It doesn’t matter that you had low sales in your business or you lost a contract bidding or money to a wrong investment. The instruction says, No matter what happens, give thanks.

Further instruction came from James 1:2 (Berean Study Bible) “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you encounter trials of many kinds.”

And there you see it again, to be joyful is to be thankful. So, no matter what has happened or happens, or shall happen, let your response be thanksgiving and joyfulness. And your experience shall be what was stated in Philippians 4:7, “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds, through Christ Jesus.”

Mid-week Fellowship | Biblical Success Principles | The Vine and The Branches|

Good evening, Breathen!

I hope it's been a great week? One thing is certain, if you'll be conscious that it's the month of "His Presence" - God's presence, that conscious will of certainty make a whole difference in your every activities in this month and beyond.

Welcome to the Mid-week Moment of Fellowship.

Here's something to think about this evening. It's an excerpt from our Biblical Success Principles teaching: The Vine And The Branches.

Text: *I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you're joined with me and I with you, the relation intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant. Separated, you can't produce a thing.*
~ John 15:5 (Msg)

The book of Genesis 1:3-25 recorded the account of creations - the earth and the fullness thereof.

If you were keen on studying these verses. You'll discover that everything that God made has a root, I mean, they were all connected to a source.
Take, for instance: Genesis 1:11 " _Then, God said, let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seeds and the fruit trees that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself on the earth, and it was so._ "

Also, in verse 20, God spoke to the water to produce an abundance of living creatures. He spoke to the firmament to produce different birds to grace the sky.

This indicates that the soil is the source of plants, the water is the source of fish, and birds are products of gaseous firmament. In extension, everything must stay connected to its source for sustainance.

Plants must remain attached to the soil or else it withered. Fish must remain in the water. otherwise, it died.

Here's the punchline. Genesis 1:26A says, "Then God said, let's make man in our image, according to our likeness.."

In essence, God is the source of man. To make man, he spoke to himself. Therefore, just as plants contain the soil potential and fishes possessed water component. In the same vein, man possessed God's potential.

You shared an iota of his omnipotent quality - there's more to you than all you have achieved or known because of your connection to God.

Humans' omniscience gene was proved in Genesis 2:19 when God asked Adam to name every bird and animal. The fullness of human's potential was disrupted when Adam committed the great treason.

That explains the declaration of purpose the Lord Jesus Christ made in John 10:10B, "I am come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly." The life in abundance here talks about the restoration of your factory-setting potential, the fullness of your God-given abilities to live a life of great exploits.

But that is possible by reconnecting back to your source just like a fish must be in the water to perform at its peak. That gave credence to our opening scripture.

The Lord Jesus said, "I am the Vine, you are the branches ... for without me, you can do nothing." Just like any branches that is cut off the main trunk, the Vine is lifeless, equally, you can't maximize your full potential without a genuine relationship with God - he is the Vine, you're a mere branch.

So, get engrated back if you’ve lost your connection with him because without him, the best of your potential will be average of what you can actually do with him. You can be more. You can do more with him.
