CHRIST BELIEVERS ASSEMBLY
WORD FOR TODAY
16TH JUNE, 2026

THEME: DANGERS OF ENTITLEMENT MENTALITY.

TEXT : Philippians 2:3–4
"Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.

NOBODY ON EARTH OWES YOU ANY FORM OF HELP OR ASSISTANCE. ALSO ,NO PARENT OWES ANY ADULT( CHILD) ANY FORM OF FAVOUR, HELP OR ASSISTANCE.

IT IS NOT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF ANY MAN OR WOMAN TO HELP YOU. PLEASE LET THIS BE YOUR GUIDE IN LIFE. THIS IS NECESSARY SO AS TO AVOID HEART BREAK, BP RELATED ISSUES ETC.

ENTITLEMENT MENTALITY IS THE ACT OF EXPECTING TOO MUCH FROM PEOPLE.

Entitlement spirit is an attitude in which a person believes they deserve special treatment, blessings, rewards, or recognition regardless of responsibility, effort, obedience, or God's grace. In biblical terms, it is the expectation that God or others owe us something, rather than living with humility, gratitude, and dependence on God.

HERE ARE THE CHARACTERISTICS OF ENTITLED PEOPLE:
A. Complaining instead of being thankful.
B. Demanding rather than trusting God.
C. Comparing oneself with others.
D. Feeling offended when expectations are not met.
E. Believing one deserves more than others.
F. Regular pitied face.
G. Getting offended when someone doesnot give you money or gift.
Hi. Always expecting from people. Never willing to give.

Luke 17:7–10 Jesus teaches that servants should not expect special praise for simply doing their duty.
"We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty."

Numbers 14:1–4 The Israelites grumbled against God and Moses, believing they deserved better despite God's continual provision. Their attitude is an example of entitlement mixed with unbelief.

Luke 15:25–32 The older brother in the Parable of the Prodigal Son felt entitled to his father's favor and resented the celebration of his brother's return. His attitude illustrates self-righteous entitlement.
James 4:6
"
HOW TO OVERCOME ENTITLED MENTALITY.

A. Cultivate daily gratitude for God's grace.
B. Remember that salvation and every good gift come from God.
C. Serve others without expecting recognition.
D. Practice contentment in every situation.
E. DO NOT EXPECT TOO MUCH FROM ANYBODY.
F. AVOID DEPENDENCE ON MAN.
G. Pray for a humble heart and a willingness to trust God's timing.

MOST TIMES,
PEOPLE DON'T GIVE BECAUSE THEY HAVE OR BECAUSE THEY DO NOT HAVE PROBLEMS.

THEY GIVE BECAUSE OF LOVE ( AGAPE) IN THEIR HEARTS.

STOP BEING ENTITLED.
DROP ENTITLEMENT MENTALITY TODAY!!!

MAY GOD GRANT YOU DIVINE CONTENMENT AND MAY ENTITLEMENT SPIRIT BE DESTROYED IN YOUR LIFE IN JESUS NAME , AMEN.
