Whether or not you realize it, your success and outlook in life can also depend on the people you surround yourself with. Its no secret that You Are The Average Of The Five People You surround yourself with. It’s a commonly used quote. And who do you generally spend the most time around?
“You want to associate with people who are the kind of person you’d like to be. You’ll move in that direction,” he said. “And the most important person by far in that respect is your spouse. I can’t overemphasize how important that is.” “Marry the right person. I’m serious about that. It will make more difference in your life. It will change your aspirations, all kinds of things.”
It’s easy to think that who we marry or decide to partner up with has no influence at all over success in life but it turns out that may not be true! According to a large study by Carnegie Mellon University, people with supportive spouses are “more likely to give themselves the chance to succeed.” Those with supportive spouses are more likely to take on challenging tasks, persist longer at these tasks, and experience less stress while striving for their goals.
