*Eyes of Sound*

Tobi walked 67 steps blind. Then silenced 400 people.

He was 8. Blind since birth. Other kids at school called him “dark eyes” and wouldn’t pick him for games.

One day during assembly, the mic died. The Head teacher panicked — no music for the school anthem.

Tobi stood up. “I can sing, sir.”

He walked to the front without his cane — he’d memorized 67 steps from his seat. He sang. Not just sang. His voice was clear, strong, perfect pitch. The whole hall went quiet.

When he finished, his classmate Ada, who never spoke to him, ran up and grabbed his hand. “You see with your voice,” she whispered.

Now Tobi leads the school choir. The same kids who wouldn’t play with him now fight to sit beside him, asking him to “hear” their drawings and describe colors through sound.

Tobi still can’t see. But his school finally sees him.
