We presented 63, actually 64, IEC materials to the Surulere LGEA under the Lagos SUBEB , the Education Authority that gave us the approval to go into the 63 public primary schools in the entire Surulere axis (Surulere LGA, Itire Ikate LCDA, Coker Aguda LCDA) in Lagos.

This IEC material will be hoisted in strategic locations in the 63 schools and at the Surulere LGEA HQ. In simple language, it can teach children and others about their blood groups and genotypes with or without deep explanation.

The occasion also allowed us to pay fitting tribute to the memory of the late Education Secretary, Hon. Babatunde Anthony Awoyelu who gave us the approval earlier in the year.

The acting Education Secretary received the IEC materials on behalf of the organization and assured that they will be hoisted in all 63 schools by the respective school managers.

Our commitment stands - if they are not too young to go to school, they are not too young to learn sickle cell education.
