ASCW Foundation recently carried out a food outreach in Lagos, Nigeria, providing meals and essential support to 1,000 people experiencing homelessness and severe hardship.
Access to nutritious food does more than address immediate hunger. It supports physical health, restores energy, protects dignity and reminds vulnerable individuals that they are not invisible or forgotten. Homelessness can result from poverty, unemployment, illness, disability, family instability and many other circumstances beyond a person’s control. Compassion must therefore be accompanied by practical action.
Through this initiative, our team worked directly within the community to provide relief while listening to and engaging with those facing difficult living conditions. Every meal represented care, respect and a shared responsibility to support people who may be unable to meet their basic needs independently.
ASCW Foundation remains committed to supporting vulnerable children, underserved families and individuals experiencing hardship across Nigeria. Our work focuses on fighting hunger, strengthening communities, restoring dignity and developing sustainable pathways towards greater stability and opportunity.
We are grateful to everyone who contributed their time, resources and effort to make this outreach possible. Meaningful change begins when people choose to show up, serve responsibly and treat every individual with humanity.
Our website is currently under construction as we continue developing a platform that will share our programmes, impact and future opportunities for partnership.
