On Thursday, August 6, 2026, Impact Hub Lagos participated in an SME fundraising readiness event held at Four Points by Sheraton, Victoria Island, Lagos, organised around the theme βSupporting SMEs Preparing for First-Time Fundraising, Including Preparing Diligence Documentation and Growth Plans.β The event brought together SMEs and key ecosystem stakeholders to strengthen businessesβ preparedness for accessing investment and impact capital.
The sessions covered key areas of investment readiness, including regulatory due diligence, financial health and governance, investment-readiness diagnostics, due diligence requirements, growth planning, deal-flow onboarding, and tracking key SME indicators such as revenue growth, jobs created and income.
Impact Hub Lagos played a key role in delivering the sessions on Due Diligence Requirements and Deal-Flow Pipeline Onboarding. The sessions focused on helping SMEs understand the documentation and information required during the due diligence process, articulate credible growth plans, and onboard their business profiles onto the centralised SME digital platform for potential fund manager matchmaking.
Overall, the event provided SMEs with practical guidance on becoming investment-ready and improving their ability to navigate the fundraising process, while strengthening their connection to relevant capital and investment opportunities.
