Two Saturdays ago, I marked my birthday by hosting a teens hangout with my mentor Young Anyanwu as there was a prior experience at The Becoming Conference 2.0 which was a powerful one.

We had over 40 persons in attendance and this time, it was much more intense as they were crying and exchanging hugs for over two hours because of the healing that was going on.

We hadn't made any formal plans for PHOTOGRAPHY because it was supposed to be a small hangout. Someone came in and took these pictures and sent them to me.

We were too busy leaning into the heavy, beautiful work of transformation to worry about lighting or angles. I am simply grateful we captured these few visuals, because they serve as a window into the profound shift that took place that day.

During the session, the atmosphere shifted from casual conversation to a deep, grounded vulnerability and the room became a sanctuary. You can see it in the way shoulders dropped and guards came down.
