Successful Organization Capacity Assessment and Implementation Readiness for SOHAI on the S-ITEST Research Study Project.
The Society for Information and Human Advancement Initiative (SOHAI) recently underwent a comprehensive Organization Capacity Assessment and Implementation Readiness evaluation for the S-ITEST Research Study project. The assessment was conducted by a team of Public Health Research Experts from the consortium partners, including Washington University of Medicine in St. Louis, US, University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, US, and the Nigeria Institute of Medical Research (NIMR).
The assessment team was led by Mr. Daniel Moletsa, Africa Regional Supervisor for Wash U Medicine, accompanied by the country team from NIMR, comprising Dr. Jane Owkuzu (Study Country Coordinator), Mr. Lateef Akeem (Assistant Coordinator), and Dr. Sabdact Ekome (Study Supervisor).
The SOHAI team, hosted at the SoHAI Youth Development Space by Kobis Global, included Isaac Moses (Executive Director), Esther Abilawon (Community Healthcare Worker), Ifeoluwa Adenekan (Youth Research Facilitator/Data Entry Clerk), and Prince Ogaga Wowo (Member Advisory Board).
The research study area will focus on HIV Prevention tools, specifically HIV Self-Testing (HIVST) and Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP), implementation study targeted at adolescents and young people aged 14-24 years.
