Be the Leader Who Builds Talent
Building Talent is a corporate responsibility

Tosin Eniolorunda was trained by Interswitch
Now Moniepoint trains others.
But most companies,
They just complain.

You cannot harvest what you did not plant.
If every company waits for "ready-made" talent, the talent pool will remain empty.
Be the employer who trains, not just the one who selects.

This Week's Focus:
Identify one person on your team or in your network who needs skill-building
and invest 30 minutes this week to teach them something useful.

Stop searching for unicorns.
Start raising them

Hello Leaders,

This week, let one word guide you:
Culture.

Not the poster on the wall. Not the words in a handbook.
But the daily behaviors, the shared respect,
and the energy you bring to every task and every teammate.

Culture is not built in a meeting.
It is built in how you listen, how you respond under pressure,
how you celebrate someone else's win, and how you handle mistakes — yours and theirs.

A strong work culture does not happen by accident.
It happens when each person chooses accountability over blame,
collaboration over competition, and growth over comfort.

And this week, the world has been talking about it.

Just days ago, at Ragan's Employee Communications and Culture Conference in Boston, leaders gathered to discuss how culture is shaped by something many of us avoid: disagreement .

Julia Minson, a professor at Harvard Kennedy School, put it this way:
*"Our goal should be more disagreement, less conflict"*
She explained that disagreement when handled with respect
helps organizations learn, adapt, and predict the future better.
It is not the same as conflict. And it is not something to fear.

The message was clear:
A healthy culture does not require everyone to agree. It requires everyone to listen.

Elsewhere, Novant Health was recognized on Newsweek's 2026 list of America's Greatest Workplaces for Culture,
Belonging and Community . Their president said simply:
"A great culture is everything to us. It's all about teamwork" .

So this week, remember culture is not a buzzword.
It is being debated, celebrated, and built in real organizations, right now.

This Week's Focus:
Choose one small action daily that strengthens the culture around you
a genuine "thank you," hearing someone out even when you disagree,
helping a colleague without being asked, or speaking up with solutions instead of silence.

Culture is not HR's job. It is every leader's responsibility.
And leadership starts with you.

Build what you want to belong to.
Work with integrity.
Lead with kindness.

Have a culture-shaping and productive week ahead, leaders!

“Sitting Too Much? Your Health Is at Risk.”

A sedentary lifestyle means spending long hours sitting or being inactive, with little or no physical activity. This is becoming increasingly common among young adults due to screen time, work, and daily habits.
Being inactive may seem harmless, but over time it can lead to serious health problems.

Health risks of a sedentary lifestyle include:
📌 Weight gain and obesity
📌 Increased risk of diabetes
📌 High blood pressure
📌 Heart disease
📌 Poor posture and back pain
📌 Reduced mental well-being

Simple ways to stay active:
✔ Take short breaks to stand or walk
✔ Exercise regularly (at least 30 minutes daily)
✔ Use the stairs instead of the elevator
✔ Limit screen time when possible
✔ Stretch and move around during work

Small movements throughout the day can make a big difference in your health.

Monday Motivation, YALI Network Lagos
Hello Leaders,
This week, let one word guide you: PURPOSE.

Being busy is not the same as being purposeful. Many people fill their schedules, but few align their actions with what truly matters.

Purpose brings clarity. Purpose brings direction. Purpose ensures that your effort produces meaningful results.

When you are clear about your purpose, distractions lose their power, and your decisions become intentional.

Do not move through this week reacting to everything. Move with direction. Move with meaning.

This Week’s Focus:
Before you begin each day, ask yourself:
“What truly matters today?” and commit to completing it.

Purpose turns ordinary actions into extraordinary impact.
Lead with clarity.
Act with intention.
Live with purpose.

Have a purposeful and productive week ahead, leaders!

“Family History Matters: Know Your Genetic Risks.”

Your family history can play a major role in your health. Some conditions can be passed down genetically, increasing your risk even if you feel healthy.
Common conditions linked to family history include: 📌 Hypertension
📌 Diabetes
📌 Heart disease
📌 Stroke
📌 Certain cancers
Having a family history does not mean you will definitely develop the disease, but it means you should be more proactive about prevention and screening.

What you can do:
✔ Know your family’s medical history
✔ Go for regular health screenings
✔ Maintain a healthy lifestyle
✔ Inform your healthcare provider about any family conditions
✔ Take preventive steps early

Understanding your risk helps you make better health decisions and take control of your future.
