🇭🇰 LCI BOARD MEETING UPDATE | HONG KONG | JUNE 30, 2026
Lions International decides, Hong Kong implements, MD404 Nigeria breaks the news with pride and enthusiasm as we celebrate the impactful milestone of an outstanding icon and Amazon of service, whose relentless hard work, dedication, long-term sacrifice, and visionary leadership has earned her the highest award in Lions International.
Nigeria was well represented at the LCI Board Meeting in Hong Kong by ID Bridget Adetope Tychus on 30th of June 2026 as the Association conferred the Ambassador for Goodwill Award which is the highest honor in Lions Clubs International.
The Board meeting is expected to set policy direction for the 2026 - 2027 Lions Service Year, including membership growth under LCI's "Mission 1.5," and in attendance was our very own International Director, Lion Bridget Adetope Tychus PMJF, NLCF, LCIP, Chairperson, LCI Membership Development Committee... MD404 Nigeria remains at the forefront of global Lions leadership, with ID Adetope Tychus serving as the only Nigerian on the current LCI Board. She was joined by fellow 2-year Directors and Board Liaison Leo-Lion Members Soyum Shah from Africa and Ritwik from ISAME.
For her years of relentless hard work, vision, and commitment to excellence in Lions Clubs International, this highly coveted award recognizes Dame Princess Adetope Tychus’s transformative impact on our organization, acknowledging her role in pioneering countless projects, Conquering milestones and driving Lionism success over the years.
Putting MD404 Nigeria in Focus as part amongst many of her countless achievements, ID Tychus as LCI Membership Chair, guided the membership benchmarks that determined D404B2 was qualified to bifurcate into B5/B6.
And in Communication, MD404’s 24-months consistent E-Newsletter completely aligns with the engagement standards her committee promotes globally, Chairman Arica Leadership Committee; Africa Forum Constitutional Amendment at the Kigali Forum, just to mention a few.
She is a proud celebration of Lionism cultural/ethical identity and unity in an organisation that knows no religious or ethnic boundaries. She embodies the Lionism culture in every sphere and definition, emitting a living expression of heritage, strength and community, boldly expressing the beauty of service.
Today she wears badges of honour with white confidence, taking into cognisance the fact that the award is linked with details of profound dedication, sacrifice, and a harmonious letter seal ushering in celebration of years of service to humanity laced with a representation of Lions heritage and pride.
Dame Princess Adetope Tychus boldly reflects traditional Lionism elegance, and the rich spirit of Volunteerism, and we are absolutely thrilled to see her incredible allegiance, and visionary leadership over the years celebrated on such a grand scale. For years, we have watched her lead with grace and unwavering resilience. She didn't just climb the Lionism ladder; she carved out a path that empowers everyone around her as a leader. It is incredibly rewarding to see her efforts yield moral and ethical dividends, and to see her work continuously receive the recognition it merits.
