Yesterday, I participated as the Vice Chair, Executive Council and member of the Learning and Development Directorate at the 2026 Induction of new members of the Sustainability Professionals Institute of Nigeria ( ), welcoming over 72 new members into the prestigious forum. All SPIN members are also by extension members of International Sustainability Standards Board ( ), United Kingdom.
Many thanks to our Keynote Speaker, Prof. Emmanuel Adegbite and our very own Dr Ini Abimbola, DBA for delivering those thought-provoking lectures.
To the new inductees; on your official induction! This is a monumental milestone that validates your countless hours of hard work, dedication, and resilience.
You have earned your place in this noble profession, and you should be incredibly proud of this outstanding achievement.
As the practice evolve, take a new step, embrace continuous learning, uphold ethical practices, and strive to make a genuine difference in your organisations.
Sustainability is a journey - a continuous process of conscious choices, gradual transformation, and learning. Rather than fixating on achieving a flawless, permanent end-state. It empowers us to focus on consistent, meaningful progress that benefits both people and the planet.
May I sincerely appreciate members of the Board of Trustees, my colleagues at the Executive Council and team at our Secretariat, as well as all members of SPIN for helping advance the Sustainability profession across jurisdictions and industries.
