On behalf of my family, the Executive and Legislative arm, Management, Staff and the good people of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area, I rejoice, felicitate and celebrate a cerebral Legislator, an extraordinary lawmaker, a gentleman per excellence, Honourable Member representing Epe Constituency I at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Mustain Abiodun Tobun on his natal day.

Hon. Abiodun Tobun is indeed a monumental asset, not just to Epe Constituency I,but the whole of Epe Division and Lagos State at large.

Highly selfless in his service to the people, committed, dedicated and intentional towards advancing the development of Epe Division and Lagos State, which has earned him the nickname "MESSIAH" within and outside the shores of Epe.

Sir, we are grateful for all that you have been doing and you will no doubt be forever celebrated as you have distinguished yourself in all capacity as a true lover of the people.

*Ikosi-Ejirin Council Staff Honour Council Manager with Surprise Birthday Celebration**

The atmosphere at Ikosi-Ejirin Local Council Development Area was filled with joy and warmth on Wednesday as staff members and principal officers staged a surprise birthday celebration for the Council Manager, _Mr. Awobajo Sunday_.

The brief ceremony, held at the Council Secretariat, had in attendance the Vice Chairman, _Hon. Wasiu Dehinsilu_, the Leader of the Legislative House, _Hon. Hassan Mustapha_, some councillors representing various wards, the Supervisor for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA), _Hon. Onaneye Mosunmola_, the Human Resource Officer, _Mr. Adetayo_, the Council Treasurer, _Mr. Lawal Adeshina_, the Council’s management team, and general members of staff.

In his goodwill message, Vice Chairman _Hon. Wasiu Dehinsilu_ described Mr. Awobajo as “a pillar of administrative stability whose professionalism and humility have inspired a new work culture in Ikosi-Ejirin.” He prayed for long life, good health, and greater wisdom for the celebrant to continue piloting the council’s bureaucracy. “Your dedication to staff welfare and due process is unmatched. We celebrate you today and always,” he added.

Leader of the House, _Hon. Hassan Mustapha_, noted that the legislative arm would continue to support the executive for the progress of the LCDA, describing the Council Manager as “a bridge between policy and implementation.”

Human Resource Officer, _Mr. Adetayo_, lauded the celebrant’s open-door policy and commitment to staff development. “Working with you has been a masterclass in leadership and empathy. On behalf of all staff, we wish you many more years of impactful service to the council and humanity,” he said.

Also speaking, WAPA Supervisor _Hon. Onaneye Mosunmola_ commended the celebrant for his fatherly disposition to staff, noting that his leadership style had fostered unity among workers.

Responding, the celebrant, _Mr. Awobajo Sunday_, expressed gratitude to God for the gift of life and thanked the Vice Chairman, management team, legislators, and staff for the surprise honour. “I am overwhelmed by this show of love. I dedicate this day to all staff of Ikosi-Ejirin LCDA. Let us keep working as a family to deliver the dividends of democracy to our people,” he said.

The event featured the cutting of the birthday cake, prayers for the celebrant, and a photo session. Staff members also presented gifts and goodwill messages.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO RESIDENTS OF IKOSI-EJINRIN

RESUMPTION OF MONTHLY ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION

The Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA) under the Leadership of the Executive Chairman, Akogun Wale Raji Anomo hereby notifies all residents of the resumption of the Monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise as directed by the Lagos State Government.

The exercise will hold every last Saturday of the month, commencing from:

Saturday, 25th April, 2026
Time: 6:30am – 8:30am

Residents are enjoined to actively participate by:
• Cleaning their surroundings
• Clearing drainage systems
• Proper disposal of waste

This initiative is aimed at promoting a clean, safe, and healthy environment across all communities within Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA.

All stakeholders, including community leaders, market operators, transport unions, and residents, are urged to comply fully and support this important civic responsibility.

Together, we can build a cleaner and more sustainable Ikosi-Ejinrin.

*IKOSI-EJIRIN LCDA SUPERVISOR FOR YOUTH AND SPORTS, SPECIAL ADVISER MEET WITH NYCN EXCO*

The Supervisor and Special Adviser for Youth and Sports in Ikosi-Ejirin Local Council Development Area held their first meeting with the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) executive members at the Council Secretariat, Agbowa.

Welcoming participants, the Head of Department for Agriculture, Mr. Paramole, explained that the meeting aimed to enhance youth welfare, ensure impactful coordination, and promote youth empowerment I within the LCDA.

Comrade Raji Olusegun emphasized that unity among youths across all communities in the LCDA is crucial at this time. He urged the current youth coordinator to be proactive in curbing unruly behavior among young people. He also noted that about ten youths were included in the administration of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Wale Raji Anomo, describing it as a first-of-its-kind initiative in the LCDA.

In his remarks, Comrade Yusuf Olabode, Coordinator of the NYCN Ikosi-Ejirin Chapter, welcomed attendees to what he described as a historic first meeting in the LCDA. He provided insight into the formation of the present executive council and commended the Council Chairman for his support and confidence in the youth. He further appealed for more support for future youth programs.

Hon. Adekoya Gbenga, Special Adviser on Youth and Sports, appreciated all attendees and urged youths to desist from unruly activities.

In her address, Hon. Ajewole Regina, Supervisor for Youth and Sports, pledged good governance with the support of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Wale Raji Anomo. She also encouraged the youth to promptly inform the council about any planned programs.

RENEWED HOPE CCT: IKOSI-EJINRIN LCDA FACILITATES DISTRIBUTION OF ATM CARDS TO BENEFICIARIES

The Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area, Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, today facilitated the distribution of ATM cards to beneficiaries of the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) Programme within the council area.

The initiative, a key component of the Renewed Hope Social Intervention Programme of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), is designed to alleviate poverty, support vulnerable households, and improve socio-economic conditions at the grassroots.

Speaking during the exercise, the Chairman, who was ably represented, commended Mr. President for the initiative and other laudable interventions aimed at repositioning the Nigerian economy. He reaffirmed the commitment of the LCDA under his administration to continue supporting programmes that directly impact the welfare of the people. He noted that this aligns with the recent resuscitation of the Widows and Elders Welfare Support Programme within the council area.

The beneficiaries, who emerged through a transparent, community-based selection and verification process, expressed appreciation to the Federal Government for the intervention and to the local administration for ensuring its smooth coordination at the grassroots level.

A total of 192 ATM cards were distributed in this phase, while over 5,000 residents across the LCDA are expected to benefit from the programme, which includes an initial disbursement of ₦75,000 and subsequent monthly support of ₦25,000.

The exercise underscores the importance of collaboration between all tiers of government in delivering impactful, people-oriented programmes.

The community development committee (CDC) in Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area convened it's monthly meeting today at the multi purpose hall of the council, with chairman Alhaji Abdusalam Olalekan presiding.
In his opening remarks, Alhaji Olalekan emphasized the significance of the meeting, highlighting the need for synergy between government and community stakeholders. "This gathering is crucial for sharing innovative ideas,addressing challenges,and exploring purposeful initiatives that can uplift the living standard of our people",he stated.
The meeting aims to foster collaboration and drive community progress.

He highlighted the critical roles the government has played in recent time like;
*Free NIN registration
*Continue voters Registration
*Free jamb forms distribution
*National Social Register(NSR) distribution of ATM cards for the vulnerable
*Free health Mission Programs
*Upcoming Ilera Eko registration
*Promise of a CDC office and Bus
*Re-introduction of monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise.
*Upcoming LASSRA Registration program in all interested CDA’s
*Surveillance on electrical installations to avoid vandalisation
*Forming of high rank committee towards revitalisation of power supply in some part of Epe division.
*Building new and rehabilitation of existing PHC,primary schools and police stations.

* The members also highlighted several pressing issues affecting the community during their monthly meeting LNSC representative Victor Ajijedidun emphasized reporting suspicious causes to the nearest security office, focusing on security, child abuse, domestic violence, r**e and other social issues

RENEWED HOPE IN ACTION IN IKOSI-EJINRIN LCDA, AS ANOMO REINTRODUCES WIDOWS & ELDERS WELFARE SCHEME

We are pleased to officially unveil another impactful initiative under the leadership of Akogun Wale Raji Anomo.

The Renewed Hope Monthly Cash Support Scheme for Widows and the Aged is a strategic intervention designed to provide relief and ensure sustained support for some of the most vulnerable members of our community.

This initiative is a continuation of the monthly Widows and Aged Support Programme introduced during the first term of the administration, now refined and repositioned to deliver more structured, flexible, and impactful support directly to beneficiaries.

It stands as a clear demonstration of people-centered governance, aligning with the Renewed Hope agenda and reinforcing our commitment to inclusive and responsive grassroots development.
