Ambalieu Barrie serves as Head of Payroll Audit & Special Investigations at the Ministry of Finance, Sierra Leone where he leads critical financial oversight and governance reforms. He is also an Associate Lecturer at IPAM-USL and Co-Founder of Nadia Minerals Company and AniChat Collections, reflecting his blend of public service, academia, and entrepreneurship.

A multi-credentialed professional (CGMA, CPA, CFE, CIA, CIML), he is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management and Leadership, has multiple masters degrees and an alumnus of both the YALI Regional Leadership Center and the Mandela Washington Fellowship, two of Africa's most respected leadership development programmes.

He has numerous Leadership and academic awards to his name including his recent recognition as one of the top 100 Global Innovative Leaders by the Global Center for Innovative Leaders in Mauritius

Mohamed Alaa Eldin is an award-winning economist and finance expert at the Export Development Bank of Egypt, recognized for his contributions to sustainable finance, climate finance, green banking, and economic development. He has worked with leading international financial institutions, including the African Development Bank (AfDB), the European Investment Bank (EIB), and the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB), driving initiatives that promote sustainable economic transformation across emerging markets

A PhD candidate in Finance and Economic Development at the University of Almeria, Spain, Mohamed also holds an International MBA from Buckinghamshire New University, United Kingdom. He serves in several global academic and leadership roles, including Research Fellow and Visiting Scholar at the American University in Cairo and the British University in Egypt, Research Associate at Monash University, MENA Focal Point of the UNCCD Youth Caucus, and Egypt Coordinator of the UNCTAD Youth Action Hub.

Marina Terry is a Sierra Leonean journalist, communications professional, media personality and emerging legal professional with over eight years of experience in broadcast journalism, digital media, communications and public engagement. She has built a distinguished career with Africa Young Voices (AYV) Media Empire, serving in diverse roles including journalist, news anchor, producer, reporter, script editor and digital media professional, covering governance, democracy, elections, gender, health, climate change and other issues of public interest. Her professional experience also includes communications roles with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Sierra Leone and the Foreign Service Academy, where she has further developed expertise in strategic communications, diplomacy and international relations.

Passionate about ethical journalism, leadership and social impact, Marina is actively engaged in fact-checking, democracy and youth development initiatives while pursuing degrees in Broadcasting and Journalism and Law (LLB). A dedicated advocate for women's empowerment and community development, she has led and supported initiatives focused on youth empowerment, climate action and social inclusion. Recognised as one of the Africa 100 Young Exceptionals 2026 by the Pan Africa Foundation.

Abílio Aleluia Otaíro Có Júnior is the Executive Secretary of the Guinean Observatory on Drugs and Drug Addiction (OGDT), a non-governmental, non-profit organisation that works to raise awareness and prevent drug use among teenagers and young people in schools, neighbourhoods and the community in general.

With a strong foundation in research and social sciences, he is committed to addressing the growing threat of drug abuse among young people in Guinea-Bissau. His academic background equips him with the tools to develop effective, evidence-based strategies that combine education, prevention, and community engagement.

Under his leadership, OGDT has carried out more than 50 awareness campaigns in public and private schools, directly impacting over 8,400 students and teachers.

These initiatives also extend to neighborhoods and local youth gathering spaces known as "bancadas," with schools remaining the central focus of intervention efforts. His work emphasizes the importance of early education and public awareness as the most powerful tools for prevention in a country where access to treatment and rehabilitation remains limited.

He frequently collaborates with national and international stakeholders, such as the United Nations Integrated Peacebuilding Office, to develop multi-sectoral responses to drug-related challenges.

His leadership at OGDT continues to play a crucial role in shaping national discourse around addiction and promoting youth-centered, scientifically grounded public health interventions.
