MY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENDA FOR MBAVIUR

I will develop Ivur Market, electrify the community, and ensure that the government prioritizes the construction of an accessible road network to open up Mbaviur Community for effective business activities.

Top on my community development agenda is the development of Ivur Market, electrification of the community, and the construction and rehabilitation of road networks connecting Mbaviur to other parts of Gwer East, Benue State, and beyond.

Mbaviur is home to the Nigerian Air Force and is one of the major agricultural-producing communities around the Benue State capital, with significant agricultural activities and contributions to the local economy. Yet, over the years, the community has continued to suffer from inadequate basic infrastructure and social amenities.
This must change.

By the grace of God, and with the support and collective determination of my people, we will give Mbaviur Community a new phase of development, economic opportunity, connectivity, and prosperity.

As your representative in the Benue State House of Assembly, I will use the power of legislation, advocacy, oversight, and strategic engagement with the government to ensure that the development needs of our community receive the attention they deserve.

MY EDUCATION REFORM AGENDA FOR BENUE STATE

As part of my commitment to making quality education accessible and affordable to every child in Benue State, when elected as a Member of the Benue State House of Assembly, I will sponsor a bill seeking to make secondary education completely free for Benue State indigenes, including the payment of registration fees for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and NECO examinations.

The proposed bill will also place strong emphasis on the welfare, professional development and working conditions of teachers, particularly those serving from the nursery and primary levels through secondary education. A motivated and well-supported teacher is essential to building a quality education system.

The bill will further provide for clear accountability mechanisms to ensure that the policy is implemented effectively. Any government or public official who deliberately fails to comply with the provisions of the law should be subject to appropriate constitutional and legal sanctions, including the applicable impeachment process where the Constitution permits.

At the same time, the bill will strengthen accountability among public-school teachers. Any teacher found to have abandoned their duty post or persistently neglected their official responsibilities will face appropriate disciplinary measures, in accordance with due process and existing laws. Depending on the seriousness and duration of the misconduct, such measures may include suspension, withholding of salary where legally permissible, dismissal, or prosecution where an offence has been committed.

Education is not a privilege for the few; it is a fundamental investment in the future of our children and the development of our state.
